This is happening occasionally. But some days several times, other days never. Dealership is kind of lousy on their EV knowledge and service. I will be medically indisposed for 3-4 days, and have an appointment to take the car in, and pick it up after I can once again drive. Is it worth the bother?

Mine just plain quit after the intermittent acting up. Now I have no cruise control and no collision safety. Dealer says $ 1,400 to update he software and that probably will not fix it. So, more money to fix cables, etc.

I have reported it to NHTSA. Suggest you do the same.

There is no way I believe the software just corrupted itself.

My long-time complaint. Ford needs a regional repair depot, specializing in EVs and especially all of the ADAS. When it works it is near the best. When it doesn't no one knows how to fix it. There is no way a service department who are not fixing MME and ADAS several times a day can have the knowledge and background skills to fix this.

Myself and many others have had this issue, if you search the forum, there are a ton of threads on it. What worked for me was popping off the cover where the rear view is. I added foam around the cord that connects to the camera and that has fixed 99% of my issues. It no longer disconnects when hitting bumps. I went from having one to two errors a day , to having one a month, if that. My cord was able to swing almost a full 360, something about the connector is just bad.

Take it in. Have them look at the coaxial cable as well. I hate to suggest a forum search, but the issue has popped up repeatedly starting in 2022. Go as armed as possible with enough information to lead them by the nose towards a resolution. Good luck with the car and yourself.

I had the same problem since shortly after purchasing a 2024 MME GT in December of last year. Intermittently, the dash warnings would come on, “Front camera fault”, “Pre-collision assist not available” and of course no Blue Cruise since it can’t operate without a functioning windshield camera. Over time, I noticed the front camera warningNalways came on when I crossed RR tracks or hit a pothole. I took it to 2 different dealerships with no luck, before the 3rd one figured it out. The issue was with the IMPA (Image Processing Module A) camera connection. They replaced the camera and performed an alignment and problem solved. I have no idea of the cost for the service because I bought a “new” 2024 model and it was still under warranty.

I have printed up what seems to be the two main Ford Service bulletins. I will list them later. What p.ss.s me up is the no service service department. the person greeting you knows nothing about service, so you cannot explain what is happening and what they may do about it. Incompetence is their first, last and middle name. Is that normal for service now. I remember friends who were service managers, and they were pretty competent at guessing what needed doing and who needed to do it.

Is your car still under warranty? Try checking the connection on your own first. Went through this with my 21 mme in march without knowing about the loose connector and dealer replaced the cable for 2k.

If you're the least bit handy around electronics and hand tools and interior trim r/r, this can be a relatively easy and inexpensive fix. The short coax cable that goes from the camera to the driver-side A-pillar is fragile and easily damaged during windscreen swaps. Fortunately it's also cheap: $15-20 USD. For 2 hours of your time you can swap it out yourself and avoid the expense and brain damage at the dealership.

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...lt-errors-issue-fixed-diy-how-to.43868/page-4

Check out this thread. The actual cable swap-out part with pics is at posts #55-#58 on page 4. If you want the whole history of my journey, read the whole thread. The point being, many other folks on here have had this issue and many have contributed to the solution.

This is not a guaranteed fix. Some people have replaced this short piece of cable and the problem persists. The video signal runs from the camera all the way to the rear of the car through a 3-piece coax, so there are other connections and possible failure points. But this short front cable IS the most likely culprit and is the easiest to attempt yourself.
On a difficulty scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 3. 4 max.
Good luck.

With care giving responsibilities and health issues/surgery I think I would like this done by the dealership and under warrantee. I am expecting a full recovery and back to my heavy workout routines, and this could be the final test whether I ever will go back to this dealership.
