I figured out the trick to hacking Palsapp to allow VIN search using Safari for MacOS:
1) Make sure in Safari Preferences, under "Advanced" that you check the box marked "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
2) Navigate to Palsapp.com and then choose: Develop--> Show JavaScript Console from the Safari Menubar:
3) In the text field at the bottom, enter the custom Javascript:
document.getElementById("custom-search-input").parentElement.removeAttribute("hidden");
4) The VIN Tracking bar should now appear:
