Finally got my car back from the dealer after they had it for 41 days to replace the glass roof. So I took it for a road trip from SoCal to Lake Tahoe. Had to stop 3 times to charge. Plug and charge worked great, was able to find some free fast charging. I was pleased that I had no issues charging while on the road. Had an amazing trip....

Amazing pics! We love Lake Tahoe and have biked around it at an annual bike charity event that is usually held at the beginning of June. I know some of those exact locations in your pics.

The last time we went, we did a road trip from Denver to Tahoe. I'd love to repeat that in the Mach-E since I have confirmed our bikes will actually both fit in the back.

(Here are pics from 2018 in those spots. BTW... our team had Star Wars themed "costumes" for that ride. I was Darth Vader and @Liv was an X-Wing pilot on her trike.)

How did you find the free fast chargers?
By chance. Found one at a rest stop, then stopped at the next rest stop. There are also signs along the road that showed Fast charging at the rest stop. The free ones are not that fast compared to the 150/350 EA stops. But free is good. Saw a sign for fast charging in Bishop for the CAL Trans office. I believe the free ones were only 45kw. I also found that a lot of the Tesla stations have a free level 2 Type 1 J1772 connector.

Amazing pictures! Love the blue in certain light, but when I see it shift to baby/powder blue it really turns me off lol

Sounds like a fun trip, my last visit to Tahoe was in a Jeep Wrangler unlimited rental on a weekend while I was working in Sacramento. A great place to make a road trip to. I will try to get mine up on Cadillac mountain on the other side of the country and post a pic or two.

What app did you use to plan your charging stops? Planning on doing a similar trip in late summer once we get our car.
