I recently purchased the AW12 Forged 20x9” +38offset wheels from @Atomic Wheels for my 2022 Mustang Mach-E Premium edition, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, their communication was top-notch—Serg and the team kept me updated at every step, from production to painting to shipping. They even sent me pictures throughout the process, which was a great personal touch and showed their dedication to customer satisfaction.

The wheels themselves are a game-changer. The craftsmanship is impeccable, and the finish turned out exactly as I had envisioned. They’ve transformed the look of my car, giving it a sleek, aggressive edge that stands out.

Performance-wise, I can definitely feel a difference. Takeoff feels noticeably quicker compared to the stock wheels, and cornering has become more planted and confident, thanks to the Hankook Ion EVO AS tires I wrapped them in. These tires, paired with the wheels, offer a smooth, responsive ride that’s a significant upgrade from the factory setup.

One piece of advice—consider sticking with the stock offset (19x7+47.5), or 20x7.5 or 8 all around to avoid any rubbing issues, especially if you’re running a setup like mine. In total, the rims were either </= 20 lbs.

As for Lug Nuts, AW hadn’t offered at the time, so I went with fully forged @Bonoss Lug Nuts (order details below) and purchased a non-marring impact socket set off Amazon to protect them and the wheels (order details below).

Overall, Atomic Wheels delivered an exceptional product with equally exceptional service. If you’re in the market for high-quality, custom fully forged wheels, I highly recommend giving them a call. You won’t be disappointed!

I like a tire and wheel post, where the OP is not afraid of high gloss tire dressing. Looks awesome!

I have that exact same car and really like your set up. Waiting for my tires to wear down to change the wheels. What size tire are you running and how was your range affected? Also I really like your calipers. Did you get them painted or did you change the calipers?

Thanks @Luna34

Full disclaimer.

Fender - Wheel Gap: I lowered my vehicle utilizing aftermarket springs to decrease the gap between the tires and fender (Eibach Pro-Kit Performance Lowering Springs (21-24 AWD Mustang Mach-E, Excluding GT). That was after much deliberation and research on the forum. I am also copying @markboris who had a similar setup on his wife’s vehicle, with plans to take it to a local body shop and get the fenders painted to match the car because the piano black does make the wheels look cavernous imho. After research, it was cheaper for me to take it to the auto body shop and have them pull off the existing fenders, color match them, and reinstall for right around $500 vs buying OEM ones, then getting those sprayed and installing them (~$1480). I’d lose the vehicle for about 3-4 days though so I’d have to carpool to work for those days which isn’t bad all things considered.

Tires:
Thanks to @HuntingPudel for playing 21 questions with me about tires. In the end I went with:
255/45R20XL 105Y HAN ION EVO AS SUV IH01A BW

Calipers:
High temp custom Brake caliper paint

https://www.g2usa.com/product/G3.html

plenty of videos on YT that I saw of fellow MME owners using this product on their cars. The paint is self leveling. Just need to be patient.

- High temp Brembo stickers can be bought via Amazon

R&G Brembo HIGH TEMP Brake... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JH9RMKK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

** Pro tip, after a light sanding, paint the rotors hub and outside edge with a primer. You can do this but buying spray on primer and buying a cheap touch up roller from Lowes, spraying the roller to the point of saturation and rolling it onto it. This will help prevent rust in those areas and keep your wheels looking clean.

- Heat gun is your friend and can help speed up the drying process.

- Lasly, ceramic coating on the wheels and calipers after you’ve let the paint cure, and placed the stickers. Do this to keep the shine, make it harder for break dust to adhere to the wheels and calipers (knooks and cranny’s), and also makes cleaning them that much easier. To caveat, the consistency of the Gyeon Ceramic coating is thicker so go slow. Also recommend putting this on before you get them wrapped and mounted. Makes it easier to manipulate. You could also just take them somewhere too to get them done if you haven’t the time or patience ?.

- Ceramic coating recommendation:
https://gyeonusa.com/products/q2-rim
It’s definitely thicker and will keep your Rims looking new.

Hope that was insightful or modestly helpful.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Lee, completely agree with you about the fenders needing to be painted the body color. I did that on my first Mach-E (Premium). The GTPE obviously came that way. I'm a little confused (and thought it was funny) that you said you copied my wife's wheel/tire setup? I only have a dog so all cars are mine. ?

No problem. That was the best part of my day reading your post. Can't wait to see photos of your car after the fender trims are painted. You did have your car aligned, right? I'm sure you did after the spring install but what about after you installed the new wheels? While it does not make a huge difference, you do have a different offset now and sometimes that can change the alignment a bit.

Great question, Mark.

Yeah I went ahead and got the ol three-fer (one deal) and got the aftermarket shocks, wheels/tires mounted and the alignment done at my local mechanic shop, for approx $8-900 in labor all together. ?

Pretty sure we talked about that in another thread when talking about shocks, or read it in that thread somewhere and was like “yup, better do that!” ?

My memory is shot. You're not the only member that has said I've asked them the same question more than once. Happy to hear it's all done and again waiting to see the final product. ?

Wheels look great! How do you like them now that you've had them over 6 months? Also, curious why you decided not to go with the Pirelli's?
