anyone added blind spot mirrors to Mach-E, if so, any particular brand etc is good? My son is a new driver, finds side mirrors small & hard to see what's coming behind. Me too, actually.

LOL my MME's mirrors seem gargantuan to me. Maybe because the '68 GTOs I've had used dental mirrors that made my Gen2 Firebirds' mirrors look huge. 🤪🐩

The Suma Performance mirrors that @txaggies07 mentioned are pretty much the only thing you can get. I hear that they are really good. 😁🐩

thanks, comparing to the Vinfast I have whose mirrors are like that of a bus, I get what my kid is saying......I think I'm really just looking for the stick on blind spot mirrors, not replacing the whole thing.

In addition to considering different or helper mirrors, I'd also recommend making sure they are actually adjusted properly. For example, you generally shouldn't be able to see a car directly behind you in the SIDE mirror. This is how a lot of people are used to using them, but the best case is to adjust them wider.

I've played around with them; the view just seems small compared to other cars I've had.

I have the Suma mirrors too. I have the blue ones, which I am mixed on (ideally they would sell a pack with blue for driver and clear for passenger) but they do really widen the field of view on either side of the car. While they do have relatively small Suma logos they don't have the silly "Objects in mirror are close than they appear" on the passenger side.

Yeah, I would actually also like the little wide angle mirrors like my FFE (without BLIS) had in the upper outer corner of the mirror because those are super-useful. I've looked at the stick-on ones and didn't like how they'd fit or look. 🤷‍♂️🐩

Start by showing him the advantages of properly adjusted side mirrors that eliminate the blind spot. That way, he won't be like all of us old people trying to relearn not seeing the side of our car in the side view mirrors. Beyond that, an Amazon search for "convex mirror car" yields a ton of results. A trip to the auto parts stores or even Lowe's with the car might yield a bit narrower and better result

There is no such thing as a “Blind spot”. Set your mirrors correctly. Have your son sit in the driver’s seat, have him lean his head to the left till his head is touching the side glass, now set the left mirror so he can barely see the side of the car. Left side is done. Have him lean to the right towards the center of the vehicle. When you can barely see the right side of the car you’re done. What leaves your center mirror will now appear in one of your side mirrors. It will take a few weeks to get accustomed. It will save him from a lane change at the wrong time. I have instructed thousands of drivers over the past 40 years, on the street and track. Be safe!

You can give him his own mirror settings button, and keep yours under a different number. Even more conveniently, my son and I are the same height. ;)

I find the side mirrors adequate, but I would really like to have a wide-angle camera view available in the rear view mirror, like they have in the Chevy Bolt, for example. I think you can install one, but it seemed like too much work for me.

The problem with this is focal length. The focal length of an actual mirror is the distance from your eyes to the mirror and then to the object reflected in the mirror. The focal length of a camera view “mirror” is the distance between your eyes and the mirror. People who need to use reading glasses (farsighted) could have a difficult time with that type of rear view mirror. The manufacturer could, of course, make allowances by offering correction adjustments, but that would add complexity, failure probabilities, and cost. Or we could expect the farsighted to put reading glasses on whenever they need to look in the inside rearview mirror and take them off afterwards, hardly a good idea. Or wear granny glasses. ;)
