When you have cruise control on and you want to increase the speed to match your accelerator pedal speed, you just have to push the "up" button on the cruise control speed

You don't even have to touch the pedal. You can increase the speed by pushing the up button.

A better way of saying this is that you can slave the set speed to the current vehicle speed when your foot is on the accelerator pedal. This is faster than holding the button for large set speed differences (e.g. going from 35 to 75 mph). Just accelerate and touch the button before you take your foot off.

If you hold the button up or down for more then a second or two it will start changing the speed in 5 mph increments. All of my other Fords do that I like that option. There are many roads that go from 35 to 55 in my area.
