Hello hello, Start Vehicle Shortcut on iOS 26!

Took a whole generation, but it’s finally here!!!

previously it was just lock and unlock, now I can finally yell at my phone to start my car!!!

now how about dat frunk button please??? For when my hands are full, “HEY SIRI, open my Frunk!”

trunk would be nice too, but frunk really could benefit as it don’t even have a one-touch button on the outside like the trunk. Add that and we’re golden!

The remote start was available in a version of FordPass that came out before iOS 26. I put it in my shortcuts after reading about it on the forum.

Huh, probably missed it during beta. I was on beta until iOS26 release day.

I like it on the lock screen. Been there for a while now.

sweet lock screen setup! I actually have the shortcuts on the swipe left widget side because I’ve had accidental presses before. Last thing I want is some unknown chilling in my car fora good 15-30mins because I accidentally unlocked it and turned it on while pulling my phone out my pocket!

I’ll say though, something definitely changed, as the remote start icon I have is different, even when I put it on my lock screen like you have it (car vs fan).

It came in a Ford Pass update and doesn’t have anything to do with iOS 26. I have it on iOS 18.

latest FordPass version 5.28, latest iOS version 26.
Download Apple Shortcuts if you don’t have it, and search for Ford to see what the options are. From there is free real estate -widgets, lock screen, Home Screen, control center, Siri, automatons, and so on.
