Welcome to the future!
It’s nice that your fellow employees support you, when I bought my first EV my fellow employees at the coal power plant didn’t like it because it was anti-pollution. I would just tell them, we make electricity here not gasoline, so my car actually supports our jobs! A supervisor even told me the company had cameras pointed on my car to catch me stealing electricity, I told him it costs me thirty cents a day for a round trip, that’s not worth the time to get the charger out!

Enjoy your Mach-e!

Well the federal credits were ending and I knew I wanted a "new" car so I figured what the hell, let me start looking. Well, I had a price point in mind and honestly the MME was never on my radar as an option. I had a Scion and Toyota reliability kind of had me sold. Well a terrible car salesman later and I started looking at EV's again and well, this 2023 popped up with relatively low miles from what I'm use to buying and the price was, too good to be true? A 2 year old car for almost half if not more of it's original MSRP? What gives..

So I did more research and man, the MME really seemed like a no brainer. I took a days and really made sure a fully electric car made sense for my life. If this was 10 years ago, absolutely not but in 2025, chargers are plentiful for the few long distance trips I would make so I stopped worrying. (not including the handful of free ones in my area if I wanted to save even more). I did more and more research on the car and it's features and it was everything I could have wanted coming from a 2008 year car. After driving it, trade-ins, credits, etc. I was happy with the price and excited about a basically new car.

After owning it for a month I can say it's one of the best car purchases I've ever made! The features are nice, the car feel fresh with each drive. I'm constantly thinking about the money I'm saving over time owning this and I can "fuel up" whenever I want at home!

Time will tell but this has been a wonderful experience so far and has really sold me on EV's and possible staying in the Ford ecosystem. Hopefully they won't skimp on updates but overall, love this car! Even talking to co-workers about it, they even say the car is sharp and it makes them look into the EV segment of cars. It's always funny seeing more of these on the road each day and I'm already looking to "sport it up" a bit with some body kits, wings, etc to give it some character since I'll have it for a long time.

How has everyone's else experience been with the MME? I know I'm late to the party but always nice to hear the experiences. This group seems to be more down to earth than a certain musk lingering about 🤣.
4-1/2 years later and I still love driving my Mach E.

If I had to buy a new EV now, I'd love to buy a Taycan but that wouldn't fly! A red Ioniq-6 is tempting, especially the Ioniq-6N.

Still, I'd probably just get a Mach E Rally.

I want a Taycan so bad as a second EV but SWMBO says no. I think she might let me rent one in Germany though.

I bought my 21 MachE Premium brand new December 2021 (delivered mid Jan 22).
One of the best car I have owned. We don’t drive much so we only have 23K miles in almost 4 years.
So far only service at 10,000 miles at dealer I paid $30 which was just tire rotation. So 20K i did tire rotation myself.
No other problems so far. Not one.
With Tesla adapter (Ford sent it free) i have more options to charge this car.
They still do recall work using Mobil tech at our home.
Welcome to MME world…it’s very good.

Nice coloršŸ˜‰

Go for black rims and add a diffuser to the rear bumper. I think the small window louvres look great too.

And don’t forget to replace the rear wiperblade (when it’s done) with a longer onešŸ‘Œ

Well, I am a "right winger" and I love BEVs because they burn rubber better than ICEVs. And I can refuel them in my garage. The only thing I miss is the sound. But silence is great also - which is why I put a volume control on my MME's pedestrian speaker. So I could actually enjoy one of the benefits that come from driving a BEV.

I suspect you’re not THAT kind of right-winger that has a big goofy hard-on for coal.

Whatever will give me the cheapest electricity suits me just fine. It doesn't make any difference to me what it is.

Not really. I reserve those kind of feelings for my wife.

I too am a month in, and while mine is not 'new' its a used 2023.. I did get it with only 20k on it... and while i still even havent made my first payment.. I too can say that this car, is badass...i love the instant power when pressing the accellerator, I Havent quite felt the savings yet but it is fun to fly past gas stations and not even worry... and yes, charging at home, even trickle charging... is proving more than enough for my short commutes, i only live like 20 mins from where I work... Glad i got it, glad im here, and no more going back to gas cars for me!

The improvements in cars over the last 20 years really is amazing. I noticed it first in a 2010 3 year old Prius, and then some years later in a new 2019 RAV4 with all available ADAS. Five years after that my Mach E. Almost a magnitude better. And relative who always drove used cars bought my RAV4 is still equally amazed at how much better it is than anything she had before. I am expecting something equally improved in 2028 or 9.

I have a 2024 premium AWD with the extended battery. I got it in January of 2025 with all the incentives including a big dealer discount. The out the door price was so good that it overcame all my first EV trepidations.

I'm an old guy and have owned many nice ICE vehicles and have done performance modifications on many of them. The MME beats all of them for my overall driver satisfaction. It's fast, liquid smooth, and has all the creature features that really matter to me. Things like heated seats and steering wheel, Android Auto on a Big user friendly screen and a camera/proximity warning system that has already saved my forgetful ass. Surprisingly (mostly due to negative comments I read) the ride comfort at the driver's seat wasn't bad at all. I ended up putting 255/45/19 tires on it and lowered the tire pressure to 35 psi and that was rather transformative. It now equals the ride comfort of some of the best ICE vehicles I've owned.
