4-1/2 years later and I still love driving my Mach E.Well the federal credits were ending and I knew I wanted a "new" car so I figured what the hell, let me start looking. Well, I had a price point in mind and honestly the MME was never on my radar as an option. I had a Scion and Toyota reliability kind of had me sold. Well a terrible car salesman later and I started looking at EV's again and well, this 2023 popped up with relatively low miles from what I'm use to buying and the price was, too good to be true? A 2 year old car for almost half if not more of it's original MSRP? What gives..
So I did more research and man, the MME really seemed like a no brainer. I took a days and really made sure a fully electric car made sense for my life. If this was 10 years ago, absolutely not but in 2025, chargers are plentiful for the few long distance trips I would make so I stopped worrying. (not including the handful of free ones in my area if I wanted to save even more). I did more and more research on the car and it's features and it was everything I could have wanted coming from a 2008 year car. After driving it, trade-ins, credits, etc. I was happy with the price and excited about a basically new car.
After owning it for a month I can say it's one of the best car purchases I've ever made! The features are nice, the car feel fresh with each drive. I'm constantly thinking about the money I'm saving over time owning this and I can "fuel up" whenever I want at home!
Time will tell but this has been a wonderful experience so far and has really sold me on EV's and possible staying in the Ford ecosystem. Hopefully they won't skimp on updates but overall, love this car! Even talking to co-workers about it, they even say the car is sharp and it makes them look into the EV segment of cars. It's always funny seeing more of these on the road each day and I'm already looking to "sport it up" a bit with some body kits, wings, etc to give it some character since I'll have it for a long time.
How has everyone's else experience been with the MME? I know I'm late to the party but always nice to hear the experiences. This group seems to be more down to earth than a certain musk lingering about.
I want a Taycan so bad as a second EV but SWMBO says no. I think she might let me rent one in Germany though.4-1/2 years later and I still love driving my Mach E.
If I had to buy a new EV now, I'd love to buy a Taycan but that wouldn't fly! A red Ioniq-6 is tempting, especially the Ioniq-6N.
Still, I'd probably just get a Mach E Rally.
Well, I am a "right winger" and I love BEVs because they burn rubber better than ICEVs. And I can refuel them in my garage. The only thing I miss is the sound. But silence is great also - which is why I put a volume control on my MME's pedestrian speaker. So I could actually enjoy one of the benefits that come from driving a BEV.Right-wingers should be gaga about evs because they CAN run on coal. They love their coal. I love my presents.
I suspect youāre not THAT kind of right-winger that has a big goofy hard-on for coal.Well, I am a "right winger" and I love BEVs because they burn rubber better than ICEVs. Whatever will give me the cheapest electricity suits me just fine. It doesn't make any difference to me what it is.I suspect youāre not THAT kind of right-winger that has a big goofy hard-on for coal.
Not really. I reserve those kind of feelings for my wife.I suspect youāre not THAT kind of right-winger that has a big goofy hard-on for coal.
