The lease on my 2023 Premium AWD, extended battery was just about up, so I decided to move into a 2025. I looked at other EVs in my price range and the only one that I found interesting was the Equinox (I think it is very visually pleasing). But when I saw that it didn't Phone as a Key, deal breaker! I was able to get exactly the 2025 I wanted (which was tough), mainly no sunroof or other waste-of-$$ options.

In any case, yes, oh, how times have changed. My 2023's MSRP was more than $62K and I got $2.5K in rebates for a 36-month lease of $753/month (I forget the % rate). The 2025's was $52,850 and I received $10K in rebates and dealer discounts, plus a 1.79% lease rate, for a 36-month lease of $546/month. Basically, I paid 1/3 less on a better car.

I went for the 2025 because it is better, IMHO, than the 2026. Plus, there wasn't one color in the 2026 palette that I liked (I went for the Glacier Gray for my 2025).

My hope is that when my 36-month lease is up, Ford will come out with the 2029-ish Mach e refresh.

BTW, the Automatic Lane Change scares the s&%# out of me (I turned it off).

Good luck with your new 2025. I went from a 2021 to a 2025 in December. I really like the changes in the 2025 premium ext battery 88kw RWD better motor and no glass roof. epa range is 320 and I’m getting 340.

we've leased 2025 Premium RWD Ext. without glass roof and I love it. The suspension is improved compare to previous years. My wife is primary driver so it takes us couple minutes to adapt when we switch cars :)

You know it’s funny… I’m literally at the dealership right now and I was checking out a 2025. I popped the hood. That little frunk is adorable!! Might be able to fit two (medium sized) pizza boxes in there? Thin-crust, obviously. But guess they needed room for the “heat pump” lol.

I took one look at the sticker - $62k - and was like “naw my 21 First Ed is still amazing.”

2023 Job 1 converted to be a Rally look alike - I am now looking at the '25 Rally GT.

Love my current Eibach upgraded lift springs, sway bar, Ford Rally wheels w/ larger RFT running 34PSI and large frunk space.

My co-worker got a '25 but I don't know if I like the shifter moved over from my '23 and no more frunk space...

Should I wait for the '26 later this year ?

The multi function lever shifter is here to stay for a good long while, unfortunately. At least until the second generation comes out (if such a thing happens). I rather dislike the equivalent lever on our Raptor, and it has a real shifter in the floor.

You”ll get a good price on a 2025. The dealers want them off their lots before the 2026’s come in. Usually 10k off.
Also I do like the column shifter a lot better and it’s smoother shifting. You don’t have to look down to shift.
I had a 21 job 2 for 2 1/2 years.

The automatic lane change worked quite well but I did not want to pay extra for it. While it did not scare me, I did need to be vigilant especially around moderate traffic. If no traffic then no worries. I figured that because you need to be vigilant that I may as well control lane change manually.

Thank you for that encouraging info!

DO you miss the frunk ?

Guess the shifter move might take getting used to - reminds me of my MBZ R350 I had that had that type of shifter....

Have you set profiles? Up to four can be programmed. If I'm driving the system recognizes me then adjusts the profile from my wife to me, even without pressing the profile button.

Have you driven it 340 miles or does the GoM say 340. 2 different things.
