I love my pony, but it’s got some issues. The brake hold features goes off of its own accord. And to my surprise, I looked out the window to find the back hatch wide open. Had somebody noticed I woulda lost a new set of golf clubs.

Was there any message in the screen when the hatch was open?

Yes. “Hatch is open.”

btw, this was when I woke up this morning. So it could have been open all night.

Would your phone app opened this by mistake? I worry about accidentally opening the hatch... I think auto hold issue is more a settings not sticking issue which has happened to others and I . The trunk opening is more a hardware related thing and not sure where it gets the signal from unless it’s from your phone or in so other way .

I have seen the auto hold and some other features sometimes lose their memory .. no fix known yet

Greg may have been thinking that the rear hatch opened while you were driving, since you were complaining about a driver assist feature in one sentence and the rear hatch being open with no warning in the next.

Then you seem to have jumped to the conclusion that he's trying to be an ass.

Not a minute later, you replied again, in which you seem to have realized you left out some context that would have helped people understand your actual situation, but you didn't feel fit to apologize while doing so.

Interesting. ?

You slept in your car overnight?

Oh never mind. I thought you said you looked out your back window to see the hatch open (while sitting in the car).

I’ve seen enough posts about unexpected hatch opening issues that I think I’ll just leave the power hatch turned off. It only takes a couple clicks to turn it back on if I expect to need it. I’ll tolerate that slight inconvenience to avoid problems caused by an unintended opening.

No, my phone was turned off all night. Another annoyance: the wipers come on randomly on the sunniest of days. This time, coincidentally, it happened when peter Gabriel’s red rain came on the radio. Lol

Your car is possessed. There's no fix for that. :p

Do you have the wiper stalk in the off position or the intermittent/rain sense position?

Another gremlin:
The damn AC turns on by itself when I start the car, every single time the ambient temperature approximates (+/- 2 degrees F) the set climate, even with Auto OFF. Worse yet, AC turns itself ON repeatedly for about 2 minutes post start when I manually turn AC off.

No other vehicle I've had has ever demonstrated this behavior.

If you left it unlocked and have the foot activated liftgate option, an animal could have walked under the back of the car.
