I have the charger mounted in my garage and was wondering if anybody had good ideas on how secure the cable and J1722 plug, so they just do not lie on the ground when not being used. An idea would be a garden hose holder, but I was wondering if anybody had a better idea.

Thanks

Dave

Hung mine from the ceiling with some paracord, a pulley and counterbalance. Counterbalance has just enough weight to retract the charging cord back up high enough to not hit my head on it. Knot in the paracord that can’t get through the pulley prevents the cable from going to high out of reach. It’s always hanging just above my head when I stand by my charger port door.

This is the one I bought and installed. I've been happy with it.
Rather than running it under the door, have you considered putting one of these in the wall?

Here's what it looks like with a siding piece designed for lamps and outlets:

Awesome! Not PLA, right? ABS?
I used PETG. I like the stuff. So much stronger than PLA.

I was really impressed with the way the guy drew the part. It printed perfectly. it's a very complex part, and didn't require supports if you set it on the table like he describes on the details page.
