Cost on Paint Protection - What did you pay in California

I have seen a number of threads on paint protection, many talking about the pros and cons, and cost throughout the US. I even saw the video of Mach-E VLOG do a DIY install. Thanks, but no thanks.

I wanted to start a thread to simply document what the cost is in California. For too many reasons, we always seem to pay for more for everything when compared to most of the US, so other states cost are not going to be the same as here.

I am looking at the Xpel Ultimate Plus. I got a cost from Elite Auto Films in the Bay Area for $2200 for front end (hood, fenders, bumper and mirrors) and $7000 for the entire car.

Where are you in CA? What was the manufacturer and model of paint protection? What have you paid or been quoted? Did you negotiate or did you just pay the menu price?

Recently had the front (hood, complete front, front side panels and side mirrors) of my Mach-E done with Xpel Ultimate Plus (generally recognized as the premier clear paint protection product on the market). Without touching the car, it is impossible to tell that the clear paint protection was done.

As you are aware , the Bay Area is a high cost area; so the $2200 quote appears reasonable. I paid $2000 in Temecula. Other posts (inside/outside of California) indicate that Mach-E owners have gotten quotes from $1800 to $2200. I suggest that you make sure to verify that the installer is a authorized Xpel installer. Good luck.

Best quote i got was for $1700 in socal. some at 1900, and a few aroudn 2.2k.
