The tiny power vs regen bar that shows up next to it is really not that useful. Moves right during acceleration and left for regen braking.

Yes, this is basic functionality for every EV or PHEV that I've seen (except the MME). Without it, we have no way of knowing when the car is regenerating, coasting, or sending power to the motors. Some people don't care, but that's basic info that I'd like to see.

I guess my point is the bars are very small and don't move much in either direction making it hard to see. I'd like a clearer picture of the regen but I'm not going to squint at my dash as I'm trying to slow down and not hit the car in front of me at the light.

I'll take a bar that's hard to see over a bar that doesn't exist any day. We can hope this tiny meter is just a temporary measure for GTs and a more useful power meter is in the works for all trim levels (with kW in/out), but I'm not holding my breath.

Yea, Swallow Sidecar Company, the original name of the Jaguar Car Company.

That's what you meant, right?;)

Changed to Jaguar for obvious reasons.
Bill Lyons started Swallow to make sidecars for the ladies so they could "ride alongside." Comfort for the ladies was a key issue in his mind and every Jaguar ever built had to be comfortable including the rudimentary XK120.

I'm restoring an XK120 roadster right now. Not so rudimentary. The coupe was quite the club car. The roadster held the production car land speed record of 132.6mph, later bested by the 140's 148mph, or thereabouts.

This is as I got it, it's now about half finished.

Yes, but by Jaguar saloon standards it was rudimentary . . . the story is that towards the end of WWII the Jag engineers had not much to do so set about designing the what became the XK 6-cylinder engine, a machine so flexible it could power just about anything, starting with Jaguar's bread-and-butter saloon and limo business up to tugboats and fire trucks. Problem was, the company didn't have a car to put it in, so some of the car guys went to Lyons and proposed the XK120 . . . he said, "fine, as long as it rides comfortably." . . . which, like all Jags it did and I'm sure yours will when it'd done. Nice work, m'friend!
