Could Tesla’s Frunk issue on Model S be part of why Ford is careful with Frunk?

I’m confused? I thought Tesla NEVER did recalls (not being sarcastic here).
They do have a recall history prior to this latest big one. Tesla’s recall numbers were pretty low before this one. From an outsider’s point of view, Tesla seems to be very negative about recalls and appears to fight them when proposed. There is less of that from traditional car manufacturers.

A neighbor of mine had (past tense), a Modrl s. His experience in getting the recall done by Tesla was so bad that he will not buy or lease another Tesla. He has a Rez for a Lightning. Just FWIW.

Respectfully, I don’t understand how this article demonstrates “why Ford is being careful with the frunk.”

Ford has already installed the actuator for electronic release of the frunk double latch. It either trusts that actuator, and the double latch, or it doesn’t. All that remains is enabling the software to send the electronic signal to the actuator, which Ford has done with recent builds. The Tesla recall has nothing to do with software failure.

The delay is most likely for the same reason BlueCruise has been delayed: Ford can’t get its crap together re substantive OTA updates (sorry, sorry, I know we should be thankful for tic tac toe).
I, for one, pay homepage to my Dearborn overlords for bestowing upon me the technological miracle of tic-tac-toe

My kids love Notes sketch and tic tac toe, not gonna lie. I also play a few rounds with my wife in the kids school car line. Feel like it was a test to see how much stuff like that is used and a sign of more stuff coming.

I would like a remote frunk release and BlueCruise a lot more. Of course, I don’t have a spouse and I don’t have children, so I have different use cases for my Mustang Mach E ???
