Finally got a build date in October
My mach e's build date was changed 3 time but........
Finally, built December 20th
Delivery set for Jan,20th, then Jan. 26th, then back to Jan. 20th ?
Today, out of disappointment, I actually called Ford and was told February 1st
Does anyone actually know, or are they just sitting at a desk and throwing darts at a calendar.

I don't have patience.

In fact, I'm as annoyed as anyone about tracking issues, dates moving, etc. However, it's not new news. Nor is it new that Ford isn't at the forefront of technology on anything, so not surprising that the car's update process also isn't working well.

I'm less agitated because I bought a cancelled order off the lot on 7/2, getting our car 4+ months before we expected to, which of course has now gone from a possible November delivery to maybe February or March. Assuming it ever comes in, we'll likely accept it and sell the 2021 and make a little dough. And have zero miles and a car we paid less money for due to Ford's incentive when they turned it into a 2022.

Speaking of Elon.......My son and his wife ordered a new Tesla 6 weeks after my Mach e and they picked it up two weeks before Christmas !

Watch a few videos about how train transport works and it will make a lot more sense.

Ford doesn’t do the shipping. They put the shipments up for bid. The odds are they couldn’t care less what vehicles are used by the various subs. They only care the cars get delivered with minimal delays beyond those necessary and that there be no damage.

Shocking though it may be, they do care about shipping delays. Where do you think dealers are getting their financing from? It’s in Ford’s best interest that those vehicles get into dealers hands as quickly as possible so that ownership can transfer to consumers.
