Do NOT set the update time as 12am!!!!

Can I ask why? Just because there’s no support then, or is that a bad time for the system? I have mine scheduled for 3am.

Bad time for the system apparently. Known glitch they are working on. 3am should be fine, but like you said that won't be during their "support hours" in case something goes wrong. Assume you just reach out next morning if needed.

Wait - what? You have to go on a 40 minute drive before the update is pushed? Seriously?
If that’s true:

1. It’s an incredibly STUPID design
2. I wish @Ford Motor Company would tell us these things. I rarely drive for that length of time recently ?

I think Ford is really testing to see who, among Job 1 owners, is worthy of a remote Frunk release. Will you demonstrate your worthiness?

OK, I am a bit confused.

Are all of you that are now getting the updates EA members, and did you first have to go to your dealership to get something done there?

I am not an EA member, and have heard nothing about going to my dealer. I also am not receiving any new updates.

Just trying to understand how this is all working.

Everyone getting these updates atm is an EA member. There was no trip to the dealer required or even suggested. I’m sure there are EA members stuck at 1.7.1 that will need a dealer trip for that fix, but that’s unrelated.

That makes complete sense. I plan on having mine do the updates every night, except Tuesday, when I need to be up and out early and there is no one else at home. All other days I have another car at home and no where to be till the afternoon.

Ford did state the BlueCruise updates would also be made available at dealers.

Just got 2.4.4. Reading this thread I made sure I drove forty minutes to make sure my car is not sleeping and not receive updates. And manually checked updates tab and it was siting there even though I did not get any notices in FP. Installed successfully.

one thing I noticed is that if the FP and your vehicle keeps showing the last update as your last update was successful, I am not sure the mothership sends the next update.. not sure if it waits for some signal from the car and if we can force that signal? Just speculation on my part.

I am stuck at 1.7.1, but that appears to have a released fix now.

Just had a total knee replacement, so have been offline for a few days. Of course the 1.7.1 fix comes out when I am out of commission!!
