Has anyone bought and brought an adapter that they know works on unfreezing 1.7.1? Just wondering if I (we) can be quicker in identifying and procuring the “right” part. Thanks

Yes, I've put this up before but here it is again. First are the two orders to Amazon and then some pics of the cables assembled. The Ethernet to USB adapter was specifically listed in TSB 22-2117.

Thank you. Super helpful from the guy who doesn't know whether he is coming or going when he arrives at the Ford Service Desk for the umpteenth time on this particular issue....

So, the question I have is for the folks that got the fix and can turn auto update on and such. Have any of you, got an OTA update to the latest version. I am so sorry, I do not know what that is, because I am caught in this lack of update hell.
No updates for me yet.

Wish me luck, just dropped my car off this morning for the 2nd attempt. This time they actually have the network adapters and the district engineer will be onsite to assist since this is their first time applying the fix. Keeping my fingers crossed.

No updates for me yet.
From Bob Summerlin on Mach E Club:
I just got off the line with Ford regarding OTA updates (my last was 2.3 on 15 Feb.) and was informed that Ford shut the OTA updates down because on the updates that required the vehicle to be turned off, they were causing the MMe's to shut down if they were on the road being driven. The MMe's that were affected by the 'glitch' had to be taken to the dealer to be updated and restarted. The system is back up online and they are 'slowly' releasing updates OTA in order to evaluate the 'fixes'. The Ford Rep. stated that the system should be back in full operation by the middle of this month (April).
Not certain why Ford didn't send out an advisory, but it appears that some have been receiving updates so perhaps the info I received is correct.

Hey all, it's been 17 days since I had the TSB applied to get me unstuck at 1.7.1 without OTAs, until today... maybe. I'm not sure how to interpret this. The widget says I got 2.1.0 as of a couple hours ago, but both the vehicle and FordPass don't mention it at all. Should I assume 2.1.0 actually was installed, or not? Happy to provide my VIN or whatever if it'd help. Thanks!

Sorry, I was being stupid. I checked the version screen in the car instead of the update screen and it is still Version 21174_PRODUCT, revision 168. So the car definitely thinks it wasn't updated, and the widget definitely thinks it is. But is that a bug in the version reporting after the TSB, or is the widget broken?

My Mach E has been at the dealer for 24 hours. All I know is that it is taking longer than they thought and they will update me asap.
LOL.
I was not expecting it to be done the same day but I guess they were.

Mine has been at the dealer since Monday morning (now Thursday night). Also no real updates except the TSB didn't work and that they are working on it.

I get that most people cant/don't care to understand what is actually happening, but I have actively been asking for more info. It is quite frustrating.

I just dropped off my car yesterday for the second attempt on the TSB. Last time they kept the car an entire day with no success.

They can’t start working on my car till today but I was heading out of town so just agreed to drop it off. Even though I had an appointment for yesterday.

Is it like this with your dealerships? You make appointments but they can’t work on the vehicle the day you bring it in? It’s annoying.

After having my car for over a day, it turns out they don't have the ethernet adapter to do the TSB, but are "almost done with the B/C update." I gave them the TSB when it came out and told them about the parts at that time. I guess I should have tried buying them and leaving the parts on the seat. What a joke.

So, I drop the car at 8, and went to work. I had it scheduled for them to do the update, so they knew it was coming in for that and my Ford Mobile charger yellow led comes on intermittently and reduces the charge level.

No phone calls, so I went in at 2:30. At 3 went to the service desk to check the status, they are working on it. Check-in at 4, service dept will call the service writer. Nothing. Went back at 5. They got hold of the service writer. Told me to go to the outside booth. Not being updated, will take a long time. Blue Cruise update takes 13 hours. As far as the mobile charger, which has a nice thread here and people said it is the Ford mobile charger that is bad, they have to contact Detroit

So they gave me a loaner. I asked them should I come back tomorrow, oh no, several days, we call you.

Welp. My car has been with the dealer since April 4th, provided all cords (ended up giving two ethernet to USB adapters because Service laptops did not have an ethernet connection). Thank you all for the instructions and amazon links.

We actually have been speaking to corporate and assigned somebody from the Executive Offices (customer rep) who helped coordinate an "engineering team" to assist since April 5th.

APIM programming (excuse me if this terminology is incorrect) has failed at least twice and engineering is "working to provide an update". No updates from Ford and were closed Friday and Monday for the Easter holiday.

Dealer has confirmed a 2022 GT incoming July/August (April 18 production date) that we can "take advantage of". But this entire support network at Ford has been beyond absurd and terrible. It's almost as if they believe the people who bought these cars would be happy with "Oh, you have a problem - don't worry, software is coming later. Can't tell you when, but go figure it out yourself in the meantime - or deal with it, we don't actually care."

Depending on your dealer VCM (newest one is 3 I think, costs the dealer about 4500), blue cruise will take 1-2 days.

Enjoy the weekend everybody.
