VIN does not match manufacturer country

Hello
I have ordered my MachE last year in October. Oslo , Norway
Sales told me that all MachE are manufactured in Mexico.

But as of I know it is possible to detect manufacturing country by VIN number , mine starts with WF0TK1E.....
Which is Germany (after checking on google)

Any explanation?

It looks like it depends on digit 11 - M for Mexico. Mine starts with WF0 as well. Digit 11 on mine is M so your digit 11 should be M.

For European Vin, country code is manufacturer's headquarters location, not manufacturing location.

Ok , Great to know.

Waiting for the car already 8 months, and was wandering if it is produced in Germany or Mexico.

Or not getting right info from dealer.
