I finally crossed the border into BC ! The last location was departed Yoho, BC. I highly doubt that it will take a month to travel to Richmond. The equivalent of about 700 kms.
It's all down hill from there!

Dealers hope people walk away, they get ADM then on those cancelled orders.
It doesn't appear that this dealer does ADMs on most of their F-150s, but I agree that on a Mach-E a customer bailing is great news for most dealers.

To show you how clueless Ford Canada is compared to the US, my salesperson just text me. "No update on the status except it has been shipped". I told her that I have been tracking it and that it is now in Chase, BC (4.5 hr drive). She was shocked that I could do that.

To show you how clueless Ford Canada is compared to the US, my salesperson just text me. "No update on the status except it has been shipped". I told her that I have been tracking it and that it is now in Chase, BC (4.5 hr drive). She was shocked that I could do that.
I think it's more an issue that the VVR doesn't track the train, so when your salesperson looks it up they can see the railcar and see when and where it was loaded, but unless they call up the rail company and go through the same steps we do to get tracking on the rail car, there's no more in the report. Kind of like the chat, they can give you the shipping info but they don't have tracking on the shipment itself.

That's weird! I know it can be a little hit and miss either way, I've had a few reps who didn't seem to want to but usually they do.

My dealer, on the other hand (or rather the salesperson I am working with) was completely clueless, he didn't even know that they could look up the rail car. As far as he was concerned the best info that existed was the original estimate when it shipped.

Dealer sales person sent me a generic email like he was responding to an online inquiry. They didn’t have the financing information that Ford.com supposedly sent them, and he didn’t know about Options. His credit app link didn’t work so I had to fill one out manually. I should have just taken the 3.9% and did everything online, this is a shit show.

Unfortunately a lot of the dealers / finance managers haven't really done much with Options. Sometimes it goes smoothly but sometimes there's a lot of back and forth and you have to insist that they get it right. Make sure they don't try to put you into a lease because they don't know how Options works. Make sure they're getting you the incentives you should be getting, if necessary they can contact Ford corporate.

First thing they mentioned was Flex pay and I said no it had to be options, I sent them screenshots from when I filled everything out on Ford. That was a few hours ago, hopefully they are trying to get it right but can’t say I have much faith.

Yeah, the website checkout is a nice idea, but basically worthless.

I tried asking about options twice and gave up. Salesman didn't know about it at first and then the F&I guy said "I won't be able to tell you until you come in" which is car salesman-speak for "we are going add points until it hurts." Used NFCU and ended up with a great rate so I'm happy.

My delivery estimate got bumped from 08/03-08/09 to 07/27-08/02 but no apparent change in the status. Hoping this means it's finally getting on a truck and/or scheduled to get shipped out of the holding yard and over to the dealership. Hard not to get my hopes up!

It's official, my car has been delivered to the dealer!

Hoping to be able to pick it up tomorrow and crossing my fingers the deal goes smoothly. My original sales person left the company and the person who took it over is on vacation but assures me everything is ready to go.
