This is my first post and I realize it's a tough crowd after reading the responses to the guy who's first post was "outta here"!
Anyway, that's why I think the forum can help me get off on the right foot.
With range as my priority and some creature features, I'm planning to order the 2023 Mach E Premium with extended range battery in Blue Silver exterior and light interior (not black!).
We live in California and we really wanted the cool factor with the California Route 1, but the black interior and fewer features around the lift gate and interior lighting dissuaded us.
I have talked to two dealers and have been told there will be no markup over MSRP if I take the one ordered, only a markup for those on their floor.
It's not clear when the ordering gate will be open so I gave my dealer all my info and asked them to order it even if they cannot reach me while traveling.
Oh, sold our 2017 Nissan Leaf which I used to commute to work and every other trip around town unless we were going out and then it was the fancy Prius! Carvana offered $17k plus, Shift $14.4k, CarMax $14k, someone offered $12k+, and all the dealers offered $10k even. Carvana won despite the "full-range" drive to get to the drop-off point. Check cleared (WFB)!
Thoughts and guidance on my order plans?
