I searched this site for "Blue Cruise Cost" and found postings from a while back that state that the cost is $600 for three years. I don't think that is true with new Mach E's. I called the Ford 800 number and they took a long time back and forth to tell me that there is a free "90 day subscription" and the cost after that is unknown. I find this a bit disconcerting. Does anyone know any more?
Thanks!

All but the base Select have the $600 for 3 years included in the purchase price of the vehicle. For the base Select, you have to pay to unlock the hardware, which includes the subscription. I think that cost is like $1900 if I remember correctly.

That is what I thought as well. I just went on to Ford.ca, and they want $2500 CAD for "Full Software Activation" on the Select trim. But then I went on to the Premium build sheet, and it stated that Bluecruise was a free 90 day trial on that trim.

I'm in the same boat. So what happens after the 3 years? Re-up for another 3 years at a higher price? I'm not a big fan of Tesla FSD on my Y, so I am planning to let BC expire and see how much I will miss it. I also thought some people had BC complementariy extended to 2073, but that could be something else.

When your BC subscription or trial expires, it's $600 (plus tax) for 3 years. At least that's the price in the US. I recently renewed BC on my '21.

This depends on model year as well. I have a base 22' Select Trim, with the Tech and Comfort package. It includes BlueCruise for three years free. The package includes heated from seats, steering wheel, and power lift gate so there are differences in physical hardware that isn't something that can be "unlocked".

So really it depends on what was on your window sticker. Like @TheVirtualTim said, the $600 for Three years is the cost you would be looking at. It just depends on when you'll have to pay that for what was included in your vehicle purchase.

How have people’s 3 year trials already expired? I thought that the first cars were only delivered in summer if 2021.
Also my Bluecruise mysteriously stopped working on a long section of 99 and I 5 that I use very frequently, earlier today. This stretch is very well mapped and I have gone for the entire length of this drive on BC entirely. The adaptive cruise came on but Bluecruise failed to initiate over a 90 minute drive. Anyone else having any issues today?

2021 Job 1 cars didn't come with BlueCruise enabled because the software wasn't ready yet. When it was ready, Ford gave us a free year of service as an apology for it taking so long. Mine was set to expire last month, but Ford has now extended these free "trials" to the end of 2023.

The MAPS were extended to 2073 because they were wasting updates to keep refreshing them, but that doesn't impact your subscription.

The extension of the free year to 12/31/23 is clearly to roll out BC 1.2 so that people can try it before they have to renew, increasing the renewal rate.

Personally I wouldn't renew when our 2022's Premium subscription expires. The only difference between BC and the base adaptive cruise control and lane keeping is hands off the steering wheel.

Its interesting, with hands on I dont use the system, never have. With BC I use it. The simple act of removing my hands makes it useable, if I have to hold the wheel I just naturally drive.

I hope you’re right. Our BC hugs the right side so much that it’s virtually unusable during rush hour when in the HOV lane.
I’ve even had it pull me over the white line in hands free, then promptly yell at me that I’m over the line ?
If 1.2 doesn’t fix this or doesn’t roll out, we won’t renew. I really hope it does, because BC is great when it more open space.
