22 GT/PE gives me a wiper sweep every time I start the car. The courtesy settings have been turned off but the issue remains. Any ideas?

Is the wiper stalk in the Auto/On setting (up 1 position) or in the Off position (tapping down once will make it wipe)?

Mine does it too, so I took it off 'auto' on the stalk. I never get rain so the one time I got rain it really wasn't much to flip it to auto that day. But I think something stuck in whatever controls it.

The courtesy wipe provides an extra wipe after you use the wash function. It’s not related to the phantom wipes you’re seeing. Leave the wipers set to off when it’s not raining, and you won’t get any phantom wipes.

This has been going on for a couple of years for me and I leave it off. My Ghost usually only courtesy wipes when sun is out and over 75 degrees give or take. No sun , no wipe.
Go figure!!

I had this happen to me a lot when I first got the car. I took pics and videos so they could see the stalk position and settings. I turned the rain sensing completely off and it would swipe even more. Took it to the dealership and they reset something in the software. Now only a rare phantom swipe.

If the wipers are set to off, and they're still wiping, you'll need to have the dealer check it out. Something's not right.

If the wipers are set to off, and they're still wiping, you'll need to have the dealer check it out. Something's not right.

I’d deal with the ghost wipe than do that lol

What was the outcome of the dealer visit?

I don’t know that they did anything except a computer reboot. The issue seems to be resolved. I did notice the wiper settings are changed.
