Car displays release notes for update that is not installed

Hi, I have a 2021 Job 2 Mach E and I've been quite successful getting previous OTA updates. Recently an update called 23-PU0205-PR-FX was released for EU cars. I was especially eager to receive it since it allows for Android Auto to run in the bigger viewport. Almost two weeks ago I opened the "System Updates" menu in SYNC and noticed that the car already showed release notes from the new update even though nothing had changed. No bigger Android Auto, no new games, no AC button on the main screen, no anything that was supposed to be included in the update. Is there any chance that this is normal behavior or does it mean I was unlucky and the car attempted the update but something went wrong?
Since I first noticed the new release notes I have driven the car on multiple occasions for over 1000km, which seems to me like a lot of time to install even a big update.

Didn't know that. By "attempted" You mean "downloaded but not installed" or can it be still downloading?

Yes, either, or also "attempted and failed".

Ford has also been known to recycle release notes, so you can’t really depend on their accuracy even when updates are successful.
