Thanks Ford! My NACS adapter apparently comes with complimentary 250kWh of fast charging + 22,000 points

I don’t think it’s spoiled to wonder why they didn’t make thousands of them before announcing you could get one. I have a sub-500 order number and the estimated ship date is April. I’ve not received the OTA that enables plug & charge.

It’s like being given a Christmas present, then when you open the box there’s a note that says, “Coming Soon”.

I wouldn’t mind so much, except they sent adapters to all their social media influencers. No one is being honest that there is a 1-3 month wait.

First, is there a place to buy the adapter. I reserved one on the app and they thanked me and verified I was on the list. I have no knowledge of where I am on the list or when I will get it. I will buy one now if someone will tell me where to go.

People have a right to complain, I mean I complained non stop about the way Ford handled the HVBJB. Ford finally issued a proper recall, a year late but they did do it and under duress.

regarding the adaptor. I have no issues on how they handled this. Sure everyone would like it on day 1 but just not realistic. Day 1 would mean September when all 50k (or whatever number) are produced.

of all the issues Ford has had with this car, this is the least of it. They were the first ones to announce the deal with Tesla. Give them credit when it is due. (Of course would like it to be an extra ft or 2 longer). This is better than nothing because I never expected it when I bought the car.

kudos to them for doing this for free.

The free charging credits are on new purchases. Either the previous owner used them, or maybe they don't transfer?

exactly. They were pretty crappy about all the failed GT HVBJB's, and finally the government stepped in to make them do it right. For the NACS adapters they voluntarily did a nice thing they didn't have to do.

Look under connected services in your ford connect app/website. It will show the order and you can click on the "check status" button. This will show when you placed the order and expected delivery.

What about folks who purchase a second Mach E? After they trade/sell their older Mach E, do they get another 250 free on their current Blue Oval account? Or is it a one time per owner award no matter how many you buy?

It's per (new) vehicle. If you sell your vehicle, they disappear I believe. You get it again on the new vehicle. @narmstrong79, can you validate this?

after reading how the Tesla adapter will seamlessly integrate with FordPass (hopefully!), I’m really leery of dropping a couple hundred bucks on an untested aftermarket adapter that may or may not work with plug and charge

I don’t do that many road trips until the summer anyhow?
And most of my road trips are on the I 65/I 75/I 40 corridor, all of which have ample EA charge stations.

It will be nice to get the adapter,; and I will admit that the Ford Tesla charging pact was the decision point between getting a Hyundai ionic6 and the Ford MME

Lectron has a 30 day no haggle return policy.
Adapter is "dumb", no integration with FordPass.
Others have already tested it.

250kwh is provided with the car, it was originally only EA, not sure if that balance will work towards Tesla. I haven't read anywhere that we get more free when we get the Tesla adapter.

The 250kwh or remaining balance stays with the car, so if you bought a used one and the previous owner didn't use up the balance. You would get whatever is remaining, It's tied to the VIN number not the account.
