If, like me, your BlueCruise and Lane Centering has been broken since the 6.13.0 OTA, it appears the final fix has been released. Unfortunately, unlike what we were told earlier that an OTA update would be coming mid-late March, you will actually have to go to your dealer for the repair. TSB posted below:

----------------

Model:

Ford
2022-2023 Mustang Mach-E

Markets: Published By Ford North America

Issue: Some 2022-2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles which recently received a software update delivered OTA may exhibit an inoperative BlueCruise and lane centering with DTC U2018:51 stored in the CMR and U0565:86 stored in the IPMA. This may be due to the software level of the CMR. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the CMR module using the latest software level of the FDRS scan tool.

Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
• 2022-2023 Mustang Mach-E
• Inoperative BlueCruise and lane centering after an OTA update with DTCs U2018:51 stored in the CMR and U0565:86 stored in the IPMA
Warranty Status: Eligible under provisions of New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)/Service Part Warranty (SPW)/Special Service Part (SSP)/Extended Service Plan (ESP) coverage. Limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. NVLW/SPW/SSP/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.

Repair/Claim Coding

Causal Part:3G590
Condition Code:04

Service Procedure

1. Connect a battery charger to the 12-volt battery.

NOTE: To prevent the battery saver mode from activating on the vehicle, make sure the negative cable of the charger is installed on a chassis ground and not the 12-volt battery negative terminal. Do not have the vehicle plugged into the high voltage battery charger during programming. This can cause incorrect module programming. Make sure only the 12-volt battery charger is installed.

2. Reprogram the CMR using the latest software level of the FDRS scan tool.

That doesn't mean it won't also be pushed out OTA. But if you're affected by this, it will likely be quicker to just go to the dealer.

I hope you're right as some owners have real delay issues in getting service appointments in their area. The TSB usually says there will be a Power Up OTA update too, but this doesn't.

Cool. Hopefully this also means Ford is ready to roll out a CSP for people to update to 1.4 at the dealership, just like they did for 1.0. I predicted Ford would make this option available by April or May.

Would be a nice bonus for sure. I was able to get a service appointment for April 1, so here's hoping.

Yes, this is the latest, following the SSM from about two weeks ago. This TSB is dated March 22.

@Ford Motor Company. Unless I reading this wrong if your out of warranty your screwed. I know it’s for 22-23. looks more and more like this won’t be going to 21s anymore. Ford needs to get better programmers. The ones they have went to ITT tech and are trash.
This TSB is specific to an issue for 2022 and 2023 model years. I was only aware that the 6.13.0 update impacted those years. I'm not sure what issue you're referring to on your vehicle, but maybe it's a different issue altogether.

Ridiculous. There better be an OTA. Been out of BC since December. I know a lot of dealers around me won't even throw an appointment out to EV's for 2-4 weeks.

o_O
I'm wondering if Ford is doing this fix through dealers so they can better track who needed the update for doing a CSP for loss of BlueCruise. That's what I'm telling myself at least. Hoping for a voluntary reimbursement from Ford rather than making us go through customer service hoops.

Please let us know if it was successful. One or two folks reported trying with the earlier TSB and the dealer was unable to fix it. Someone with FDRS at home also reported being unable to fix following the previous TSB's instructions.

Hopefully there's a new software within FDRS that has also been released to fix this issue.

Was about to ask the same thing. My dealer wasn't able to get the previous update to go through either last week. Sounds like this is an all new update.

I think I'm planning on avoiding the dealer for now, even though the CMR OTA failed, but in case I do decide to take it in, does anyone have a recommendation for a good dealer in the Southern California area? I think I saw another thread that @AngryMan listed these for good experiences with Service:

Hemmborg Ford in Norco
VIlla Ford in Orange

Unfortunately, they aren't that close to me, but I'd be willing to drive and leave the car if they are still good service dealerships.
