Just about 3500 miles. I love this car but agree the software is wonky. Today it was 100 degrees and I had trouble turning the heat off. Then I realized that the software is as hiccup free as the software I use at work. I work in a hospital.
Eventually got the AC on.

I believe the people who say they have had no “major issues.”

I don’t believe people who say they have had “no issues.”

This car is riddled with random software bugs. While most won’t stop your car from functioning, they can be annoying at times.

Annoying little stuff like-
PAAK not working the first time

Having to hit the unlock button or lock button on the door multiple times

Profile defaulting to guest

Touch screen not responding

Bluetooth or CarPlay not connecting right away

Being on a phone call, starting the car and the call ping ponging between your phone and the car

Headlight switch changing to on instead of auto and lights staying on

Software updates getting stuck, failing or just not showing up at all

Charge port fault

Radio presets disappearing

Ford supplied charger overheating

Camera fault, suspension fault, cross traffic alert fault…..

The real list of stuff I’ve just gotten used to is MUCH longer but those were just off the top of my head.

Anyone here who’s owned the car more than a year actually NEVER had any of these things happen to them?

**But I still love the car.
So if you ever use a computer, phone, or any other software heavy item, you'll have glitches there too. Can't count the number of times I have to reboot my laptop, wifi modem etc. It is what it is. ANYTIME you have software involved you'll have glitches of some type.

Loving my Mach E Premium also…so. “Me Too”!?
10,200 miles in 2 months!

Just completed road trip from Orlando-Gulfport-Dallas-Austin-Gulfport-Orlando.

Used ABRP(A Better Route Planner), the best EV trip app ever!

-2700 miles
-20 Charges(includes driving around destination areas after arrival)
-$285 spent on charging

Used Electrify America chargers on 1st half of trip
Used only Tesla chargers(A2Z adapter), on return portion of trip(Austin-Gulfport-Orlando)

Note: Will never use Shell ‘Recharge’ chargers again…predatory pricing where sole charger in area of Texas on I-20 W

Flawless!

…and yes, if I could change 1 thing…make Magna-ride suspension standard on Premium and above models, option on Selects.

3 years and 25K miles. I've had no major issues or complaints. I did the HJVB recall, just because; but never had an issue.

I watched that Edmunds review of their long-term ev fleet yesterday (10 min) and they confirmed why I bought this car in '21. As I'm sure a lot of you, I narrowed my choices down to Mach E v. Model Y. My biggest concern with the Tesla was always the complaints of build quality and rattles. Well, Edmunds confirmed that they would not repurchase a 2020 Model Y for those reasons. They said the Mach E was "Boringly Good" in a Good way, cause it just works every time and is really well built!!! In all fairness they said the revised Tesla's are much better in build quality now.

Love my Ext Range AWD Mach E. Yes, the sensible call would have been the single motor RWD, but it's still a Mustang and sometimes you just want to feel that Torque!!!

Hey all,

Amongst all the negative posts/issues people are having, I just want to say I've done 5000 miles on my mach-e and not had any issues.

Absolutely loving the car!
I have 70k on mine with no issues. All recalls completed with no issues. Love driving this car after 3 years which for me is unusual.

Not this many or this frequently with a car though.

This isn’t normal.

We're very happy to hear that you're loving your Mach-E! Thanks for sharing this with us! ?
On my 2nd Mach E. My first was a first addition 2021 Premium Standard Range AWD. I had 60k miles on it with no major issues with it. I traded it in for a 2023 Premium Extended Range AWD in April '24. So far this car has been just as great as the 21.

funny, I've had two mach es a 21 premium and 23.5 gt. My 21 I had 2.5 years, had one software issue which was fixed with an update, and occassionally I'd get the "drive mode unavailable" prompt but that was it. My GT which I've had for nine months now, had an initial charging issue which was also fixed by an update, aside from that zero other issues big or small.

Coming up on 4 months and 2k miles on my '23 Premium 4x ER. Has it been a flawless experience with nothing but smiles? No, I can honestly say that is has not. There are a handful of glitches, quirks and other issues that have soured the ownership experience a bit. Coming from an utterly rock solid vehicle with almost no software glitches or other issues over the course of 9 years and 90k miles, it's been frustrating to have to deal with these annoyances with the Mach-E on an almost daily basis.

That said, I think the car has a lot going for it. First off, it's absolutely gorgeous! I have a hard time walking away without looking back at it. Sometime I sneak a peek out the window at work when I get up to stretch my legs. Also, It feels solidly built. Most important though, I still think it's a hoot to drive!

Would I buy another? That's something I'd have to think long and hard about. If Ford continues to improve the user experience and can get it to a point where the glitches are far and few between, then yeah, I could see myself possibly upgrading to GT in a few years.

If I were to give my ownership experience thus far a letter grade, I'd give it a solid B.

If you'd ever like to learn more about your Mach-E's settings and features, we'd be more than happy to help with scheduling a one-on-one guided virtual tour. Feel free to send us a DM if you're interested in that!

People are getting real loose with the words “zero” and “perfect.”

Glitches, bugs, quirks……. Doesn’t matter which cute name we try to apply to these things, they’re still issues.

I also can say, “other than the dozens of times the car doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do, my car has been flawless!” ?

Just to add to the list of weird things my car does this week- the many times it reverts to 1980s beeps and chimes because it doesn’t keep my 12v charged high enough despite driving it multiple times per day.

The old school beeps are kinda cute though. ?

For me, the car is definitely not perfect, but still very enjoyable. Small random software issues don't bother me much and most of them have work around, or just disappear after restart.

The biggest hardware problem that I had during my almost 3 years of ownership was the broken frunk latch that caused the car to spend a few days in the shop.

I'd give it 4.5 stars out of 5 and would definitely buy it again.
