Anyone have issues with heat? AC works great and blows hard. When I switch to full head it blows less and gets maybe “warm” it’s currently 65° outside. I’ve had this for three years and first issue with heat and it’s not even cold yet.

The fact that it’s not cold yet is the reason the heat is not hot.

Just yesterday it was 95 degrees out. I hit my Fordpass app and remote-started the HVAC. I got to the car 10 minutes later and opened the door. I would not let my dog in because of the furnace inside and the amount of heat blowing out of the vents. The center screen said that my temperature was set to 70. This is the only time this has happened to me. I ended up rolling all of the windows down and going back in my office for 20 minutes to let the 95 degree air cool off the inside of the car. When I actually started the car with my PaaK in my pocket, the HVAC seemed to function like it was supposed to (cold air blowing out of the vents). ?‍♂?

The only time I’ve noticed this is after I get an update. It seems like it turns off the AC system and then when I turn it on, I’ll forget to make sure the button for AC was turned on.

That is most definitely not the issue. That makes zero sense. I’ve had it for three years now and the heat has always worked no matter the temp. That’s like saying ac won’t work in the winter. I went to my dealer tonight and we checked it out in three sitting in the lot. Heat blows hard and hot.

It's possible your heater core or blend door motor failed. Both of those would cause reduced heat output. There are separate blends doors for left and right, so you should put it on max temp and feel if there's a difference between the left and right vents. If everything is sort of equally cold, then you might move onto suspecting the heater core.

You can feel the heater hose to see if it's hot. Make sure E-heat is enabled and put the temp on high. Let that run for a few minutes and remove the top frunk cover. Feel the aluminum tube near the brake reservoir (see below photo), that's the heater core input. With the heat on high, that sucker should be burning hot, like 150º+. If it's not getting that warm, and your hear the coolant pump running, then the PTC coolant heater may be bad.

Also double check the coolant level in the bottle there, if it's low you might not have heat. The below photo is a wrecked car, so the coolant bottle is empty FYI.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Just tried this. Ran for 10 minutes and that line was pretty cool.

As strange as this response sounds, it's true. I had the same feeling last year when I tried to test the heat when it was still warm out. Good news when it got cold the heat got warm.

Well it may happen or may not but mine has worked always. It was 54 degrees this morning so it would have been nice if it worked.

Was the e-heat turned on? Or did the rename it in a recent update to just Heat? I forget.
