IMO that's not saying much. How is it selling compared to other SUV's is the relevant question in my mind. Based on the numbers above, three years in it's still the lowest selling SUV in Ford's lineup.

Ah…. The problem with “year over year” reporting.

Sales of 2023 models…… sucked. So much so they had to put HUGE discounts on them and they still sat on lots for 200+ days.

Now they have HUGE discounts again.

Remember when a loaded GT cost $70,000?

Well people are picking them up for $45k now brand new.

EV sales may be “up,” but that doesn’t mean demand is up.

“Quantity demanded” went up due to the significant price reductions.

It’s the same game Tesla played in 2023.

Show me when sales are up and prices are up and I’ll drink that glass half full Koolaid. ?

The % increase sounds great but going from 20k to 28k Lightnings sold in a year isn’t anything to brag about. It’s getting passed on sales by the competition from Rivian and Tesla despite a cheaper starting price and big discounts.

Admittedly, I didn't. However, I'm aware that sales are so great they've stopped making them for a while as they sell off existing inventory. Did you know that before parroting the fanboy narrative that sales are up so much over last year?

Of course it depends how you view the data.

Subjectively- up is good.

Objectively- below projections and from horrible to only “not so bad,” is still bad.

Clearly some here are trying to spin bad news as good. ?
