I have a set of Lexani on my 2023 c8 htc and love them. THese are EV specific tires from Lexani and are RIDICULOUSLY cheap. I can get a set of four of them for $388 AND another 30% back from the Capital One shopping portal. BUT....if they suck....

You get what you pay for.

Have you searched for online reviews?

Did you say you have $50 tires on your C8 corvette?

No, I said I have Lexani tires on my C8 corvette and they handle great. Better than the factory tires in fact. Also, they were less than half the price of the factory tires.

I believe that there are exceptions to every rule, including "you get what you pay for". To think otherwise is ignorant.

Yes, I did search for online reviews but as they are a newer tire did not find a lot of credible ones..

I'd almost get them in a 255/45/20 just because they're cheap. BUT it's another $100+ for swapping them and if they're terrible (oddly treadwear traction and weather perf are posted no where) it's another $100 and then throwing them away as no one will buy them.

So a hard noisy tire. If you need something to do doughnuts with in the parking lot they sound great. :)

Let us know how it handles when you do some spirited driving.

And make sure it doesn’t come apart after a couple of thousand miles.

That can't be compared brand to brand. Treadwear is set by the manufacturer of the tire, not the government. In that way it's like the M/S rating it means nothing

I am glad you like the tires however tires can not be subjectively evaluated to be declared good, well for the most part. I have met a few race teams / drivers that could but not the average joe.

Lol... so if I like these tires, they are quiet, last a long time, drive well,.....I can't declare them "good"??
I guess we can agree to disagree.....

You can sure but it holds no weight unless they are compared to other tires using measured testing.

It's called a confirmation bias if you trust your own opinion with no facts to back it up

I am taking a bit of liberty with the term but the concept applies.

You are confirming what you believe rather than checking to see if what you believe is true or correct.

For some context Lexani was made by Nexen Tire although I am not sure they still are.

Tire manufacturers are typically divided into four tiers.

Companies like Michelin, Continental, and Pirelli are considered tier 1. (premium)
Companies like Firestone, General, and Cooper are considered tier 2. (Premium alternative)
Nexen is an example of tier 3. (value)
Companies like Lexani, Westlake, and Iron Heart are considered tier 4. (price point)

These days, almost everything is actually manufactured well. The difference is how well-known the tires are and how they perform based on comparison testing.

If anyone has some comparison testing, please post it. It would be interesting to see how the Lexani compare.
