Ford Pass App Widget is back but no functions?

It’s back on iPhone but is it me or is it broken?
it used to show option like door lock / unlock now it’s just the logo ??

It was pulled while they sort some things out. This info was put into the notes on their iOS App Store update. Should return in the future.

edit: I just updated the app a minute ago and it looks like the widget is back and working. What version are you on? I am iOS 18.2.1 which was just updated last night as well.
I would make sure all software is up to date including your phone OS.

just updated fordpass right now - in fact the release notes mention the home screen widget. and it is working again. unfortunately it just seems to track whatever car is selected in the app - there doesn't appear to be a way to have one widget per vehicle. that would have been nice.

weirdly I have the same issue. updated to latest os, rebooted phone - same.

@raj.s did you update fordpass though? i've found that just because an update is available in the app store it's not necessarily presented to you. before i figured out that you can refresh the "updatable apps" page i would sometimes wait days for a known update to appear in my app store app.

when you are on the list of apps that can be updated (the Account screen), just pull down from the top of the screen and release. you'll see the spinning 'daisy' at the top of the screen if you did it right, and if there's an update available for fordpass (or any other app) it will now appear in the list.

I had hope when I saw that I had a recent pending update to 18.2.1 which I did just now.
After the mandatory reboot, I reinstalled/ ré-added the Widget but alas….no joy
Same status, just the Ford logo.

eh, don't feel silly. really apple should be refreshing this list more often, or just when you open the account page automatically.

@Phil_Gtown it's not the OS version that's relevant here, it's the fordpass version. at the bottom of my account page in FordPass, it says v5.10.0. if yours says something different then you need to do what i mentioned in post #5 to get the fordpass update to show up in the App Store, then install it.

Looks here, I was at 5.9.0

So when you guys think that we will have a more evolve interface in the Ford Pass App that will allow to select our in cabin temperature as well as to activate the heated seats ?
I’m a bit frustrated that we don’t have that option yet and ICE vehicles like the Hyundai Tucson have it since last year at least…

It is available for the Mach E, but it needs the 10.1.0 or the 10.1.1 update to the car. That's the same update that allows Google Maps on Android Auto to start preconditioning the battery when navigating to a charger. In other words, once your car receives that update that feature will be available. I have a '23.5 Select in Canada and I received that update back in Nov.

Ok thanks for the clarification. I have zero update of the Sync system since I took possession in Sept 2024. I’ll wait….
Are we sure the Wifi connection to the car stays active all the time when the car is parked at home ?

I park my car on the street or in a condo underground at home (beyond WiFi range) and no-WiFi access when parked at work and my '23 receives updates. It might not be the first to get them, but I don't think it's conditional on being connected to WiFi.
