Using Alexa in Sync along with Siri in Apple CarPlay?

Ford have agreed to install my massive backlog of updates and I have now received an email about using Alexa to control climate etc. but I won’t have the car back until tomorrow. How does this work if you are using sing Apple CarPlay? I would want to be using Siri for music, messages etc. but Alexa would also be good if it can control some car functions. Can Alexa be used with a wake word and Siri via the voice controls button etc. can the two ladies play nice?

I forget that Alexa can even do car controls, it’s not much it can do. I usually use Alexa for asking questions and things with wake word Alexa, and Siri using wake word siri for car play directions or thing alexa can’t answer

yes, I use Alexa for wake word as well as Siri. I believe the voice button is still ford assist. All 3 seem to work fine.

With CarPlay on, long press the voice button (or use wake word). For Ford commands, quick press voice button, or use wake wake word. For Alexa, you can only use the wake word.
