Get the perfect gift for that special someone in your life who appreciates EVs!

Ford Mustang Mach-E Better than roses or chocolates - give your special someone the chance to win any EV! 💝🚙 8th-raffle-homepage-evs-v2-01-jpg-jpg

Whether your special someone’s love language is Words of Affirmation, Receiving Gifts, or Driving with Zero Emissions, we have you covered this Valentine’s Day! Our 9th EV Raffle tickets make the perfect gift. Give your Valentine the chance to win their dream electric car this year. Better yet, their ticket is delivered instantly by email or text, so there’s no need for last-minute shopping or gift wrap.

Every ticket is a chance to win a Mach-E or any other electric vehicle on the market, optioned however you like, up to $120,000! Plus Climate XChange will pay all of the taxes on the Grand Prize, so your romantic gesture won’t come with any strings attached.

And while we think that this gift speaks for itself, we’ve also written a potential message to include in your Valentine’s Day card:

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and efficiency
Of an electric vehicle, a musically silent symphony,
Though you will always have my gaze.*
*BlueCruise still requires the driver's eyes to remain on the road, regardless of how much you love your passenger.

PS. We also have 2nd and 3rd cash prizes of $12,500 and $7,500. And even if your giftee doesn't win a prize, you're still gifting a win for our climate - funds raised support nonprofit Climate XChange's mission to achieve a rapid and equitable transition towards a zero-emissions economy by advancing state climate policy.

I like that your picture of a Dream EV is absent of the MachE in the MachE forum.....
The long answer is that I figured most of you already have Mach-Es, and considering that the prize can be priced up to $120K, you would target something more expensive, along the lines of those pictured.

The short answer is that I'm too old to learn Illustrator, and had to run with what our small but talented staff had created...

Do you have a good variant to propose? Someone on the F150 Lightning Forum posted this!

It was more of a joke than anything as if a MachE would be no one's dream car.

Got it - didn't want to offend anyone. A friend has one that his wife, a nurse, uses for a long commute in New Hampshire. They're very happy with it - especially because she can charge for free at the hospital.

Thank you - and good luck!

While we're on the subject, what EV WOULD you choose if you won? I have a Rivian R1S and of course not allowed to enter, but would consider something still capable of five passengers and some cargo, but smaller - possibly a Porsche Macan EV. Or a VW ID.Buzz to replace my wife's minivan - the range isn't great, but she rarely drives more than 50 miles in a day if that.

Honestly do not know. Since I am good with my current car, I have not looked into reviews or done my due diligence on all that is out there. We luckily have three cars, so I can keep my current 7 passenger for things needed with the fam. We would replace my wife's car, but the question would be, do I give her mine and I pick, or does she get to pick as I keep mine? That would be totally different cars BTW.

The Porsche does look good and they have done really good things with their Tech, batteries, etc. Rivian also looks good. Would make sure longevity is considered, places to service, viability of company were also considered.

Agree with y’all on the Porsche, but man the Mach E stomps the 0-60 on that one. Still the only reasonably priced EV that can actually go and is not a truck or Tesla.

Actually if you spring for the Macan "Turbo" Electric it's a little quicker than the quickest Mach-E: 3.1 seconds. But it starts at $105K and easily goes over our $120K limit - but if you want to spec it up you can put your trade in against the extra, I guess...

I would like to see a winner choose something other than a Tesla. We were a Tesla-only raffle for the first six years, and added Rivians and then other choices in the last two years, but the past two winners chose the Model X.

They are trying to sell 5,000 tickets at $250 each in order to raise $1,250,000. Will give out $210,000 in prizes to theoretically gross $1M.

Reading the bios of their staff and board this is not an organization I want my money supporting.

No offense to those who buy tickets, but I would suggest you read more about the organization and staff if you care that their interests align with yours.
Hi @DaddyDeuce, allow me to address your objections in turn.

First, regarding the gross amount raised, it's actually under $1M because there are a lot of additional costs to operating a nonprofit raffle properly. We pay up to $60K in taxes along with the $120K for the EV and $30K in cash prizes (there was an additional Early Bird prize of $10K, drawn on January 3 from the tickets sold through December 31). Then there are the 3% card payment fees and 5% MA raffle tax on all ticket sales. We have a large marketing budget for Google Ads, YouTube insertions, sponsored articles and vendor fees for forums like this one. We have expenses for web hosting, e-commerce and geofencing software, our Boston raffle permit, etc., plus two part-time technology and graphic design consultants who help put together and maintain the website. Finally we pay attorney and auditor fees, to ensure we are doing everything above board. Several of our staff spend part of their paid time running the raffle, while as a board member I receive no compensation - and I put a lot of time into this.

And we incur most of this cost no matter how many tickets we sell - the only exceptions are the variable expenses of card fees and raffle tax. Climate XChange is on the hook for the $180K grand prize as soon as we sell the first ticket! Last year we didn't quite sell out due to a state eligibility change, though in most recent years we have - but it often comes right down to the wire, and this year is looking challenging. So if you're thinking of starting a raffle to raise money for a nonprofit, I'd advise you to stock up on antacids and blood pressure medicine beforehand - it's not for the faint of heart.

As for the organization, you state you don't want your money to support it. What about the bios of the staff and board do you find objectionable? Are you a climate change denier? Do you believe U.S. states are doing everything they can to address the climate crisis? I don't know why you would otherwise object to a number of people who are educated and experienced in climate-related matters, and are committed to doing something about it. I am probably the least climate-educated/experienced of the lot, but am using my experience from decades as a business consultant and IBM executive to help the organization.

The intent of the raffle is to raise both funds and awareness for Climate XChange, a 501(c)(3) climate nonprofit with a mission to achieve a rapid and equitable transition towards a zero-emissions economy by advancing state climate policy. The net $ raised, under $1M, help fund our offerings like the State Climate Policy Dashboard, a free resource available to anyone - check it out! It tracks over 60 climate policies in 7 policy areas across all 50 states, allows line-by-line comparisons of up to four states at once, highlights best in class policies, and links to the actual legislation. Also our free of charge State Climate Policy Network, 15,000+ state and municipal level climate officials, researchers, activists, legislators, professors, and others who receive regular newsletters and reports, webinars and legislative updates. Our staff respond to member queries and help connect members in need with others who have relevant experience. We have found over the years that despite the fact that most climate action takes place at the state level, there is limited organized support for the players involved, and we try to address that gap with our small team of <10 staff. It's great if the states leading on climate do more, but there is potentially greater impact from helping mid-tier or laggard states learn from their examples and target the lowest-hanging fruits of climate action.

FYI, Climate XChange is highly rated by two big nonprofit watchdogs, 4/4 stars from Charity Navigator and Gold Transparency from Guidestar, so you can be confident that even if you don't win, your money is going to a well-run organization. We post our federal nonprofit returns on our website. And the drawing is transparently live streamed with our auditors in the room checking everything, so you can be sure it is fair: tune in February 28th at 3pm Eastern - from 2pm you can watch us methodically load the ticket drum.

Thanks to those who have or will enter the raffle - we're running behind our target track so we appreciate the support.
