01/17/25 Dealer confirmed door replacement under the warranty. Door ordered.
02/21/25 Received a call from dealer that door is delivered and I can bring the car.
02/24/25 Dropped the car at dealership
02/28/25 Picked up the car.

I'm impressed. I'd be willing to bet my dealer didn't order the door until I prompted them again.

Now I'm thinking that they are hoping I go away. Still no door, so I don't think they plan on fixing the issue at all.

If I have to go to another dealer, am I going to have to go through the whole process again, or start at the door replacement?

Out of curiosity, which door did you have replaced? I'm trying to take a guess as to why I don't have one yet. Maybe my specific door is in short supply or something.

Yesterday I noticed my front passenger door has started making the same sound. I checked all my doors a couple of weeks ago and it was only the drivers door.It seems almost all the complaints have been driver side door, anyone else having this issue with any other doors?

It seems that I have lit a fire under someone not really doing their job. I decided enough was enough and submitted a buyback request since 3 months waiting on a warrantied door with no end in sight was unacceptable. Wouldn't you know it, within 1 hr a door magically appeared and is being painted.

We'll see how the work goes.

And now for the latest update:

The dealership is back to ignoring me, and probably does not have the door they told Ford and myself that they had. Ford has denied my buyback for being just outside my state's lemon law.

Since no one wants to take responsibility for warranty work, I may have to pull out the big guns for Magnusson-Moss attorneys.

I was flat out denied that its covered under the extended warrantee the dealer sold me. I was told it was “platinum bumper to bumper”. As I asked fpr the best one they had I assumed this would be covered. Nope oh well. I cant fight them amymore.
