My 2024 MME GT has an on board charger capable of an 11 kW rate of charge. Why does the FCSP only deliver 10.1 kW? Shouldn't that number be closer to 11 kW? The 10.1 rate has been consistent since it was installed. Is this normal, or should I call the installer, or Ford? If it’s normal, does anyone know the cause of this 9% discrepancy

Same model EVSE and amperage. 10.1 to 10.4 (to a 24 MME Premium) since install in January...

~10% inefficiency is normal. You are just seeing the difference between ~11kW EVSE power draw and the amount getting into the battery. There may also be different rounding in different parts of the settings/readouts.

Thanks for your helpful responses. From what I can surmise, then, is that a number of factors can determine efficiency. My FCSP installation required a 120’ run to the garage, and is hardwired of course, per code for this type of installation. That run, and the extra long cord to from the FCSP to the connector, plus normal loss as the battery draws power, all contribute to the rate reported by FordPass.

I believe in the app you can see what the FCSP is SENDING to the vehicle, in addition to seeing the net that the vehicle is receiving.

How are you measuring the kW? The value in FordPass is after losses. It will say about 10.7 kW for a max rate charge. If you have a lot of voltage drop from a long run, that kW will go down. If you are seeing less than 10.0 kW input at 48A then I would start to get concerned about excessive drop. The electrician is supposed to oversize the wires for long runs to avoid the voltage drop, sometimes that doesn't get done.
