Can anyone recommend a dealership for service in the western GTA?

I've had poor customer experiences at two dealerships in Oakville and one in Mississauga. Has anyone received a consistently high level of service at a dealership in this area? I'm hoping to find a dealership that has courteous and knowledgeable service advisors (who don't offer me oil changes and have received training on EVs) and is large enough to complete a service job same-day (rather than keeping it for two or three days for a software update or standard service). Thanks in advance!

I have purchased 4 vehicles, including my MME, and have had no issues with Erinwood Ford.

Thanks for your input. My purchasing experience at Erinwood was positive, but my service experience was not!

Care to elaborate?

I had the same experience a year ago and gave them a second chance in October when I saw they had installed 2 DCFC and upgraded their L2 chargers to 40A Wallbox units and figured they were taking EVs seriously. Jury is still out.

I was specifically having issues charging above 32A on L2 (started last year), and they never had the ability to test with their previous units (I think they were running 24A). Not only that but the tech said it was my wiring, or my charger, or software, or wrong phase of the moon, you name it. I was floored.

With their new L2 units I was finally able to show them the issue, but still had to walk them through it. The tech started by charging it on their DCFC (when I specifically said it was an L2 issue) so I went out and said "It'll charge all day on DCFC...". He was confused. I actually had to explain to him the difference between the DCFC and L2. No joke. He finally saw it fail on L2 and said "Oh....well it looks like a module has failed. We'll order a new one...."

Took A YEAR for me to get them to see what I was seeing and acknowledge there was an actual issue.

I'm a bit nervous for them to do the work, but it is what it is.

Having said that, Oak-Land and Kennedy are even worse....Oak-Land is 100% clueless.

I've heard the dealer in Kitchener is good (a small-time Youtube said they were great), but haven't gotten that desperate yet. Easy to get to from Oakville - 401 West, exit for Highway 8, take it to the end and turn left.

Good luck!

My issue with the Erinwood service department was the attitude of staff: they were rude and surly, acting as if they were doing me a favour by servicing my vehicle.

I didn't like Oak-Land staff, either; my beef with Kennedy is that the service advisors are poorly educated about EVs and the service department is too small to provide timely service.

Thanks for the tip about Kitchener. I think I'll try Leggatt in Burlington first.

I know the owner at Kennedy and would not take my car there - my experience with their advisors was exactly the same. Good luck with Leggatt :)

The former owner of WhiteOak is now running Milton(old Gallinger) Ford, got my MME and an Edge from them and their service seems great so far. They are actively selling and servicing MME and Lightnings and did not sugarcoat some of the challenges they have servicing EVs. (replacing a battery on a Lightning)

Went there to put snow tires on as CDN Tire was clueless and Costco tire center is brutal.

We have used Erinwood but I had a bad experience years ago where they changed the wrong $ 1000 part and spent another $ 1000 on the right part. Their customer service told me it was tough luck so I stopped going there.

Also used Kennedy for years but then spent crazy $$$ on repairs in 2023 and ran into more and more issues with them recently so a little reluctant to go back to them. Their use of Uber for shuttles is very convenient.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I'll put Milton Ford on my list!

Your service interval is to check fluid levels, wiper blades, a quickie brake wear check, and a tire rotation. You can do most of those at home. The tire rotation can be done at any tire shop (or in your driveway if you have a jack and stands). ??

So your suggestion is just diy and not go anywhere. Would that void any warranty?

It won't void warranties. Just document the number of KM on the odometer, the date, and what you serviced/inspected. If you go to a tire shop for rotation, keep the receipt/invoice. Keep those records in the car or on your phone. ??
