Funny thing about this Venn diagram is that I told ChatGPT to make a humorous diagram depicting the lack of overlap between Waffle House patrons and EV owners. Only after I posted it did I see @Madtroniks post. The moral of the story is obviously that @Madtroniks controls ChatGPT. :p

I love it. My weakness is their hashbrowns. It has to always be triple scattered and triple covered. Even then I feel like its not enough. Good thing I can plan my food stops around waffle house off the highways.

I apparently touched some sensitive nerves when questioning Waffle House... To each their own, I guess. More charging options are good and all.

Out here in California we don’t have too many waffle houses that I know of.

What part of the US are they located in?

Mostly the south and southeastern part of the US. In Florida, they’re used as an indication of hurricane severity (they have a reputation for NEVER closing and, if they do close, they’re always the first business to reopen. In fact, they have a playbook for it. Surprisingly sophisticated!)

Yep, mostly southern and eastern US, but sprinkled all over. They have been growing as a company though and expanding. Actually had a location or two in California at one point, but they closed those several years ago. Maybe they'll try again. They do have several in Arizona and Colorado, I think New Mexico, but really it's all east and nothing north of Ohio.

They actually seem to be a great company. And they of course have the reputation of attracting coked up truckers and meth head clientele, especially at 2:30AM. The SNL Waffle House skit from a few years back was perfect -- it hit all the stereotypes and Waffle House lore in one shot. Definitely an unfair reputation to have, but when you're in central Florida and the only place open at 2AM, you're going to attract some crazies. Personally I'm not a fan of their food, but it's a consistently good value for what you pay for it. I mean, I can't stand McDonald's either, but millions of customers go through those drive-throughs every day... I would say Waffle House is a far better value than McDonald's where it's now over $12 to get a Big Mac, fries and a Coke...

Very few restaurants open at 2:30 am don't attract a bad crowd. I could say the same about the FedEx Memphis hub cafeteria that was open only during those hours. ;)

Florida Man is REAL and now he’s driving an EV! I’ve already seen the Cybertruck version of this dude.

Yes, I’d stop to eat at Waffle House if they had chargers. Buc-ees has primo restrooms but is a madhouse.

Tangetial Depature Warning

Edmunds, the car info and pricing company, just recently sold their long-term test Cybertruck for $8000 to a scrap company. They paid 101,985 USD last July. The bright side, according to them? "But, hey, at least our ill-fated Fisker Ocean is no longer No. 1 on the 'cars on which we've taken the biggest bath' leaderboard."

Pecan waffles with maple syrup!

The Waffle House Index is used across their range by FEMA (or at least they did before the dismantling started)

Both Waffle House and Buc-ees have their issues. It should take longer to eat at Waffle House than it does to charge, so I'm guessing they'll have liberal dwell times. Buc-ee's has a similar problem but it's because it takes so long to get to the bathroom and back -- but at least you get some steps in.

I thought CyberWedgies were supposed to be indestructible? Wasn't that the truck to survive the apocalypse?

I've never been in a Waffle House or seen one, so this doesn't interest me too much. Now if they would put a dcfc at Harry's Diner 75 miles down the road, I might get some waffles there.

that’s what I wondered too while watching the Edmund’s YouTube video. I think the Edmund’s guy said it was a compact car that hit the CT. That car must have flying when it hit the truck. Makes me wonder how the occupant(s) of the car survived.

I bet the other car needed $1200 worth of body work and paint.

J/k. The other vehicle was an F150 and the scratch it got merely added character.
