If the dealer I had a deal with is to be believed that is ... I had a deposit down on a 2025 Mach E that was due to arrive by the end of month. The dealer said Ford told them today they are pulling any Mach E being to send to Florida, Texas, or Louisiana because if an issue with the paint in hot temperatures and they aren't delivering any new Mach E's to those states until the recall on the paint gets worked out. So my deal fell apart and now I'm reaching out to see if I can find a similar model in South Georgia.

I'd think this was BS but the guy really did work hard on the deal all weekend and I can't believe he'd just flake and sell it to someone else. I also did have a 2024 that I was trying to work a deal on last week down south of Orlando and the dealer did say it was having paint recall work done on it. Anybody else hearing anything about this sort of thing?

The only issues I'm aware of are for 2023 and earlier models for the sealant on the door hems. It's either a brand new issue or your dealer has decided to keep that car and sell it to someone else because they got a better price. Of those two I'd pick the latter. Call around to other dealers for 2025s. There are forum members here who have a better handle on recent Ford developments.

Sounds like total BS considering the fact that Florida doesn’t get nearly as hot as many other states.

We never see 100 degree temps where I live, even in August, but plenty of other states do, including 120+ in the south west!

There may be a recall, but temps in those 3 states doesn’t seem like a justification. ?‍♂

Just for fun, check out the highest ever recorded temperatures by state-

Florida is one of the lowest on the list. Gotta love that sea breeze! Only Alaska and the states in the NE above NY are cooler. Heck, North Dakota was 12 degrees hotter!

As it does everywhere but Alaska and Hawaii. ?

But the paint doesn’t care what it feels like. ?‍♂

I remember the first time I visited Chicago was in July. 101 degrees AND high humidity! Went home to my 92 degrees and felt cool in comparison.

I grew up in/near Fort Lauderdale. I don't miss the humidity.

When I had a house in FL, I’d joke with friends that I was going down to FL in August because it was cooler ?

I ordered my 2025 Premium in Grabber Yellow early Jan. My order was delayed and then it was stuck in Production for weeks. I finally had to get face-to-face with the dealership mid-May to find out what was going on. They informed me my car was recalled due to bad primer or paint. Then I saw the Delivery Detail show it was now being delivered to Mullinax Ford in Olympia WA (I live in Florida). After more phone calls to both Ford Customer Support and to the dealership, my salesman finally called to tell me this particular dealership in WA buys recalls (to repair and sell???) and my car is basically scheduled now to be destroyed.
I’m very skeptical with this story and on top of this, I had to reorder my car to get what I wanted on it as there’s nothing across the US in yellow. Hoping I get my VIN this week and can start tracking it again.
Really not happy…

Sounds like BS to me, but try calling that dealer in WA. See if you get the same story.

I have checked the Olympia WA dealership’s stock listing 3 times now and they have no yellow car on the lot or incoming. Also seeing quite a number of posts now that dealerships across the US aren’t receiving 2025 MACH-e cars due to a paint problem. I will continue to follow this and am hoping for an update to my new order soon.

Old thread but I just came from the Ford dealer to get my recall done for the recent software update - don't get locked out of your car recall.

I wanted to drive a rally and be talked into upgrading from my premium but they had none on the lot. Not one Mach-e

Sales manager told me whatever paint issues were going on he didn't know why that Florida is an issue vs other states.

He did say Florida laws favor Ford and not the dealerships and so that's why they were able to pull them and shipped to other states.

He doesn't understand why only some states can't sell and others can for a paint defect. Also mentioned Ford didn't want to buy warrantees on every Mach-e. So maybe states with less humidity and we're getting all the warranty issues? I would guess Washington State is it better climate for the post-sale curing of the paint?

He did say the paint issue was fixed in the factory and now the ones that are being manufactured can come to Florida and he'll have a bunch of October.

I can even order one now and they'll ship it here. But it might take until Christmas. Mostly because of the time to get from Mexico to Florida. You can get an F-150 in 45 days since they come from Detroit and Kentucky.
