Someone told me they are getting a similar rate for 2025 models as the 2024 models at this point in time even with all the 2024 incentives. I tried looking this up myself and it does not seem to be the case, but I did read elsewhere that 2025 models were cheaper in general. Is there any truth to this or am I just being strung along?

I went with a 2025 instead of a 2024 because the sticker price was indeed lower (and I wanted BlueCruise 1.5 and the heat pump). I also got a killer interest rate (1.99%). I don't know if the same rate would have been offered on a '24.

Do you mean sticker price after incentives?

What is special about BC 1.5?

Yes, the sticker was lower on the 2025 than the 2024. I don't remember the exact difference, but it was about $5k less.

I don't remember all the specific differences, but one thing I recalled was that BlueCruise 1.5 would change lanes on its own (to get out of the fast lane or to go around a slower car), whereas I believe 1.3 would only execute a lane change initiated by you via the turn signal. (I might have this incorrect - I'm sure someone else here will know better than me!). I also got the impression that 2024 (and older) vehicles would not be getting an upgrade to BlueCruise 1.5, so they were locked in at 1.3 or older.

They lowered the base price on the '25s, base price of the Premium is $3600 lower to start with. But any of them that have rolled off the line since about early May now have tariffs applied, so not as much discount now. They have the "employee pricing" promotion going, which lets the dealership decide how they want to participate, but Ford is allowing them to apply A or Z plan pricing to help encourage dealers. This works for '24 or '25's. If.. *IF* you can still find a '24 to your liking you may be able to strike a deal on it, but the deals overall have not been that great. All the delays on the '25s have helped dealers who still have '24 inventory hold up prices a bit.

Whether you buy or lease, Ford has good rates right now, but there is a stop-sale on the cars due the door latch recall. The '25s add the heat pump in all models, at the expense of a smaller frunk, Premium trim has improved suspension compared to '24 and also has ventilated seats.

The best deal we ever found on a '24 Premium configured the way we wanted it was about $8500 off MSRP and at the time, back in December with all the Christmas specials, the finance rates were not good. I have not seen any deals on a '24 that good since.

Given the '25s were going to be cheaper, and with the new features and the wife wanted the new Magenta color, we ordered a '25 Premium instead. Took us 6 months to get it with the delays, have had it 3 weeks now. It was only going to cost us about $1000 more than buying the '24 at that discount end of last year... One incentive went away though and Ford cut the Power Promise charger rebate in half. Our dealership was giving us a great price -- about 6% off before other incentives. Which ended up being about the same or just slightly better than the current employee pricing promo, so I guess we ended up not feeling quite so special about the deal in the end. So it ended up being about $2500 more than buying the '24 however we also got a much better rate. They offer 0.9/36, 1.9/48 or 2.9 for 60 months.

I have a 23 GTPE and wish I waited. With MME in need of a refresh it's understandable. Getting late in the model cycle.
