MACHE PREMIUM Pre collision assist (beep audio or visual alerts)not working

Does any one experienced despite having pre collision assistance setting on and set to high sensitivity still not getting alerts and or beef sign/warning when approaching other car and not even applying emergency breaks ? I went to ford dealer they said you will have to leave the car for one week since we have a Que and waiting list , and they didn’t want to even come check the settings if there is something wrong or software uodate
I checked software updates all are okie too
Any idea what could be !!

I have my sensitivity on high, and I have got the alert and maybe even the breaking a couple of times. But I’ll tell you you have to be going at a fair speed and it’s gotta be really close to a crash. You can’t just slowly move up to a car and expect it to beep at you.

The first time it happened to me this guy did a very crazy cut in front of me kind of action. The second time I got distracted. I’m not even sure if in both cases I or the car hit the brakes first it was pretty much simultaneously.

oh, and just so you know it flashes a red message on the dash too. Personally, I think it should be a little bit more sensitive, especially since I set it on High sensitivity.

You can make sure your cameras are clean.

That said, the only time I ever get an alert is when I’m coming up fast behind someone who is turning right and I don’t slow down (knowing they will have completed the turn by the time I get to them).

If the alert goes off, it’s a bad thing or you are a very aggressive driver. I wouldn’t “test the system” if you know what I mean.

These systems are made to HELP the driver, not replace the driver. If you see a situation where you need to brake…… BRAKE!! Don’t wait for the car to take over.
