  1. Trip odometer

You can view stats for your current trip on the "this trip" page.
  2. Is this true

A few other possible factors: Lots of cars being leased and not sold, and those cars are coming back onto the market as used. EVs tend to depreciate a lot because of FUD over the battery, so good deals on used cars are hard to pass up, especially when you get one with pretty low miles. I...
  3. How much money are you saving with an EV?

In California, this is dirt cheap. I'm lucky to have this publicly-owned utility service, whereas adjacent areas are corporate-serviced at much higher rates. I'm curious as to where you live with those rates?
  4. Ford Navigation worth it?

Thanks for the correction. It's an assumption based on how older built-in navigation systems used to operate, so I'm happy to hear this isn't the case anymore. Any advantages to this nav over what I'm using now? From what's in this thread so far, it looks like the answer is no.
  5. Ford Navigation worth it?

I've never used it. Tried once but it couldn't find the place I was asking it about. My assumption (correct me if I'm wrong) is that it probably doesn't give me information about current traffic conditions and wouldn't divert me from major delays, like Apple and Google Maps do. That...
  6. Hello from STL

Welcome. I just joined yesterday, so I'm happy to see another newbie here. Yes, the wireless pad isn't great. I'm coming to the mach-e from a car that didn't have one at all, so I am used to using USB for that, anyway. The USB-C port is fairly fast, so at least we have that option!
  7. How much money are you saving with an EV?

I'm in Sacramento, so we do have some temperature fluctuations here. Right now our temps are triple digits, but nights get down into the 70's or below. It will probably cool off some in the next few days. In the winter we can occasionally just barely touch something close to freezing in the...
  8. How much money are you saving with an EV?

There is that trade-off. Winters are mild here, so that helps a little. I'm still averaging around 3m/kWh right now. Maybe a little less, depending on the type of driving. So it's not horrid.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts about the battery. I agree; it's better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully the service center will be honest with me about the condition of the one that's in there now, but I guess I should go ahead and schedule service.
  10. How much money are you saving with an EV?

I'm lucky to be able to charge at level 1, since I'm retired from my regular job and don't drive my car every day. When I do drive it, it isn't far. I will probably install level 2 at some point, but am in no hurry. We have a hybrid if we need more range. I'm also very lucky to be in an area...

Hi everyone! I'm so happy to be a part of this owner group, and I know I will learn a lot here. I bought a 2023 GT back at the end of May, and have just fallen in love. I look for excuses to drive it now. Been reading a lot on the internet and have experienced some of the recent quirks I've...
