    Well online the part is 900$ CDN (550$ US) and from what I see in my work order, the tech charged 4 hours. Considering they charge 150$ CDN an hour, you're looking at roughly 1500$ CDN or 1000$ US.

    I have not had any throttling since my charge port was replaced. The fact that this occurred right after the update might a coincidence. It really is the temp sensor the issue. The problem is if you didn't have the issue before the software update and your car never threw a code your car will...

    Well it's been over a month now and charging strong at 11kw/h since the new port install. No more throttling at all. Even put 64kw in the other day with no issues.

    What I would suggest to anybody who can see the throttling might take my before and after graphs as proof that it is not normal that is oscillating. Maybe my experience can help push for a new port.

    From what I saw it is regardless of SOC and more time and current dependent.

    Yours seems to be fine. 10 Kw though is not 48 amps. When I would set the current to 44 amps it would bounce not cut off. 48 amps is 11-11.5Kw so it sounds like it is already throttled. You might be observing the 34-35 amps throttle because it's set to 48. If you leave it 40 amps I'll bet you...

    The fluctuations we are/ were experiencing are closer to 8 amp fluctuations not 1 or 2 amps. Example if were at 40 it'll drop to 33. If at 32 its much less like 1 or 2 amps. At 48 it would just not charge.

    The fact it was not charging at 48 amps though seems to be the clincher not really the code.

    As promised the work order The first part "Verified problem charging 48 amp doesn't charge. Scan test no code present except P0E5F multiple times in SOBDM. Verified OASIS nothing pertinent. Verify pins everything ok. Verify temp in BECM OK. Charge port seems defective. Order port from US"

    I'll post the work order tomorrow. I got back at roughly 4pm. Here's my curve at 48 amps. Seems the temp sensor/plug harness resolved the issue.

    My EVSE is a juicebox pro 48. It's a smart charger that automatically draws the charging curve. I bought it specifically to be able to monitor and troubleshoot anything that occurs. Money well spent.
