The increase in the standard deduction doesn't change the fact that if you're a W2 employee, you still have federal tax withholding and you can change those amounts to reflect that you will have a lower tax liability. And if you make quarterly estimated tax payments you can do the same thing.

Completely agree on this if you have the opportunity to do it. For the dollars at stake, it's worth checking with a tax pro on how to max this out.
