I called Ford Customer Care to get a status update and they said mine is still in production, no chip hold. Does Ford Customer Care see anything more than we can on shop.ford?
Batch 4703, 154/330
I have 3 cars on order right now. All 3 are GT non-performance.
Car 1:
Ordered 8/14/21
Build week 3/21/22, hopefully going into production any day now
Car 2:
Ordered 11/04/21
Build week 3/14/22, currently in production
Car 3:
Took over cancelled order that was originally ordered 10/11/21...
I’ve searched and read so many posts about how to track your car by rail but I’m still confused. So my understanding is the car goes from Mexico by train to Kansas City, maybe transfers to another train or so until it gets near the target city, then goes by truck to the dealership?
So the...
FYI. I had a 1/06/22 build date that got delayed 2 months for chip hold. I still got modules. You can't tell you're on chip hold until you realize that the "in production" isn't progressing to "built." The modules will be there either way.
They didn't have an EV charger at the yard?! Isn't there an EV charger in the car? Like maybe the frunk? The car is supposed to come with a charger. At least the car didn't fall off the truck or something like that.
That will happen a lot. I went through this with my 1/06/22 car and now again with my "week of 3/14/22" car. The shop.ford.com tracking link just won't work for a few days. For a while, I suspected it was when they were changing something such as adding a production date or a built date...
I'm in the same boat. I just called Ford Customer Care and they told me my car is built but waiting on shipping. Production date 1/06/22, chip hold, built 3/07/22. They estimate delivery on 4/25/22 but I don't trust that estimate at all.

This is order #2 for me. I'm also waiting on a 1/06/22 production car that was on chip hold until last week.
FYI: If any of you go on chip hold, you won't get any notice. You'll just notice your car is perpetually "in production" for months. You can call your...
Just got an email from my dealer that my car is no longer on chip hold. He predicts the car will arrive at the end of March or first week of April. I'm less optimistic. I'm guessing 4-6 weeks.

Chip holds aren't shown online. You have to either call your dealer or call Ford Customer Care. Mine had a 1/06/22 production date and is on chip hold. Estimated delivery date 5/27/22. Mine does not show it's built yet (still in production). If your dealer says yours is built, maybe you got...
There's only 1 place near me that has matte. They said it depends on the color of the car. Sometimes glossy looks better and sometimes matte looks better. I've never seen matte for the grabber blue.
The biggest ADM I've seen personally is $20k. The biggest I've heard about was on a youtube channel where the host saw a $40k markup on a USED first edition.
Some people have a 9+ month wait due to delays in production dates, seatbelt holds, and chip holds. If your car is built and shipped, you got lucky and bypassed all of that.
Ugh. My car is only 48 behind yours yet it’ll take 3 more months to get mine.

I just called Ford Customer Care and they verified I'm still on a chip hold. My window sticker is now showing up after being down for several weeks, so I guess that's progress. I got hopeful seeing some of you alternate between chip hold and shipped. Mine never changed from "in production."...
Heads up. I've read at least a couple people here who paid more for the GT or GTPE and were unhappy to find out they didn't have the glass roof. The glass roof is standard on the premium model but you have to add it as a feature on the GT and GTPE trim. Same with the Bluecruise. In fact, you...
I'm amazed at how little dealers know about their cars. Imagine me, a physician, treating my job the same way many car dealers treat their jobs.
Me: Yeah, uh, all of these drugs are "basically the same," except for the badging and "a few minor safety features."
