  1. Ever notice that one of the forum banners is mostly Mustangs???

I have the farrier out regularly.
  2. Severe loss of range

Voltage of a battery pack generally increases as the state of charge (SOC) increases. With a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, the voltage curve over most of the usable range is flat, so the actual state of charge isn’t easy to calculate from voltage alone. The voltage rises more noticeably...
  3. Severe loss of range

Just to be explicit here, in the charging tab in the app under Target Charge Locations, set it to 100% and tap the SAVE button. Wait for it to save, then verify it took.
  4. Is my Mustang Mach E Premium Model totaled?

It’s a very old design. Updated, yes, but maybe not enough.
  5. Is my Mustang Mach E Premium Model totaled?

The newer Wranglers are safer than the older ones, but I don’t think they’re that safe compared to their competition. Anyone more knowledgeable about Wranglers care to chime in?
  6. Very cool solution to long charge times.

Silverelan’s opinion is correct. The BYD megawatt charger (1.5 MW) just installed in Western Europe somewhere don’t remember uses a big battery PLUS grid power to charge at those speeds.
  7. Dashboard Question on Mustang Mach E 2025 Premium (Efficiency Mini Game)

I tried L early on, but it has to be re-engaged after reversing. Unbridle’s regen is very similar.
  8. Interesting Text Messages for Dealer for my 5000 mile service

Don’t wait too long for that oil change. It’s supposed to be changed every āˆž miles.
  9. Latest Consumer Report Reliability Data

I have similar concerns. They’re far from perfect. For example, their food safety articles are often based on bad science (Environmental Working Group, Prop 65). I’m still not ready to throw them out completely, but…
  10. Latest Consumer Report Reliability Data

I don’t know about J.D. Power. I’ve heard both good and bad. CR’s surveys are a valid way to collect data. It’s difficult enough to get surveys returned, asking for proof of breakdowns and repairs really isn’t practical. So, I think survey data is just fine as long as you’re aware of the...
  11. First Road Trip?

I live south of Lansing. The temps this month in southern Michigan have been brutal. I typically charge to 90% in the winter. Heated seat and steering wheel and heat on low auto at about 70 degrees works great.
  12. Latest Consumer Report Reliability Data

From their podcast, they did say that they weigh types of flaws differently. Also, for the OP: I read an explanation years and years ago from Consumer Reports. They said these year-by-year reliability grades don’t work like you might think they work. The reliability scores for older model...
  13. New 2026 BMW iX3 (summer 2026 release date) test drive reviews are in

Hmm. Imma have to practice not using my turn signals…
  14. My 2025 Heat Pump Efficiency data thus far

The abbreviation TLDR originates from the early, primordial epoch of the internet’s evolution, a time when message boards, Usenet groups, and enthusiast forums were populated predominantly by individuals who preferred to type at great length about topics ranging from motherboard chipsets to...
  15. State of Charge When Arriving at Charging Station

I second the people recommending charging at 10-15% unless a break is needed. New EV drivers might want to charge at 20% until they’re used to everything. I don’t typically go much lower than 10%. Some vehicles go into turtle mode at 5% or even higher. Worse, if the BMS is off (rare), a car...
  16. Is this economy good in 1 C temperature?

Did I understand you correctly that you’re getting ~5 to 6.3 km/ kWh at 1 C? That’s ~3.1 to 3.9 miles / kWh. If so, that’s really good. If you have the smaller LFP battery, keep it charged at home to 100% all winter.
  17. New Mach E Rally Owner 😁 (First EV and Mustang)

Near or below freezing weather reduces range. If you live where it gets cold, charge to 90% w / home charger and don’t sweat it Three types of charging: Level I in regular outlet is trickle slow, Level II with NEMA 14-50 and 50 amp circuit is most common, DC fast chargers are away from home and...
  18. That sound. Agggghhh.

I’m not 100% clear on the terminology. ChatGPT says that hands-on automatic steer is *not* Blue Cruise, only the hands-free. (ChatGPT tells me I can trust it completely, so…) It seems like what you’re saying is that you don’t like adaptive cruise at all off the highway. I can understand that...
  19. Cabin heating a 2021 premium 4x mme and getting tired of this

If I’m getting in and want fast heat, Max defrost for a few minutes gets it hot super fast. Convenient button on screen.
