Gave my two cents worth.

A few months ago I received the adaptor and today when looking in my Ford account they are crediting me 1 year of BlueCruise, 5 days before the subscription expires. Hope they push the BC updates to me, if so might consider paying for it in the future.

I bought the OBDLink MX+ primarily because I wanted to also use Forscan and people recommended it for glitch free use. It has worked flawlessly. Don't think the lifetime subscription is necessary but I sprang for it because the app works great and it worth the few bucks to me.

Yes, Car Scanner via OBD. I shutdown the app after reading each time. I'm using OBDLinkMX+ and have noticed after shutting down the app it goes to sleep. If I leave the app running it only take about 2hrs to get alerts on Ford Pass of 12v battery drain.

Forgot to update. They ran a battery test for 3 days, and did not fail. Put a load on it over the weekend and the test Monday morning and it failed. They replaced the battery under warranty. Checked the new battery, it took longer to drain, but it still drained. Took the car back to dealership...

I enabled mine a few months ago. It works most of the time and has never open accidentally. When I hand wash, the phone/fob are out of range.

I agree, was going to replace it either way, specially since winter is just around the corner. Just glad Ford is replacing it under warranty.

I got the pro, it's a good app and the author deserves something. Went with OBDLink MX+ because it was highly recommended if using FORScan which I do. Happy with both.

The 5kWh heater in my '22, (7kWh in the newer) is shared between the passenger cabin and the battery. The passenger cabin has priority, not sure of the percentage is. If Ford would just add a manual precondition button we would have one less thing to complain about.

Thanks, just ordered one for my cottage, it will charge faster than the mobile. Always felt uncomfortable not having a backup if the mobile died.
