Thanks for the suggestions so far, everyone. I've tried most of them before - rebooting phone, rebooting Sync, disconnecting and reconnecting bluetooth. I also tried the suggestion about app projection, but that didn't do anything.
I decided the next idea was just to nuke everything and start...
I searched the forum but didn't find anything like this in the past year or so. So I thought I'd see if anyone else is experiencing this.
I use Android Auto. The car is set for two drivers - my wife has an iPhone and I have a droid. Up until maybe a month or two ago, Android Auto was slightly...
Holy crap. That honestly sounded like such a weird feature to have, I thought you were joking. Why on earth would anyone want the car predicting a destination and then telling you how to get there?
Now I see the setting is just suggesting recent places, which makes more sense but doesn't really...
I tried searching the forums for this but didn't see anything, so, let's see if anyone else experiences this.
Occasionally, when I start up the car, the navigation system (the one native to the car, not Google Maps or the like) is just... on. And it has chosen a destination, seemingly at...
Exactly. Sorry if my initial description wasn't clear on that.
Clearly this is a first world sort of problem, and it isn't that hard. I can indeed push a button. It is just a small annoyance that would be nice to have a setting on to go either way with. I understand the security reasoning -...
So it's a Ford thing? Interesting.
Also weird that the list you put there does not include the car being in Park.
I haven't owned a Ford since my 2008 Escape Hybrid. I didn't think it kept the doors locked in Park, but maybe I am misremembering. My more recent cars have been a Honda and two...
OK.
I personally just want it to behave like every other car I've had in the last couple decades. Lock the doors when starting to drive, for safety. Then unlock when you put it in Park. I honestly thought that was the way cars all were now by default, so I was surprised that wasn't the case...
There's a way to have it not lock the doors when you start moving? I didn't think to check for that setting. Not sure I would want to turn that off anyway.
I love that the car has rain sensing wipers. It is great when it is raining hard.
But if it is raining anything less than pretty hard, I find the wipers go way too long before activating. Or allow the windshield to get way to soaked before wiping; however you want to look at it. This is true...
I tried a search for this but no luck, so hopefully this hasn't already been covered.
One small frustration I've found is... if I shift the car into park but don't turn the car off, the doors remain locked. This is annoying when you have to do things like pick up the kids somewhere. Is there a...
I suspect (just based on how software tends to work, as I work in software) that this problem will be more prevalent with people who have multiple profiles going in and out of the car back and forth.
By the way, if any others have the time, you might want to consider also filing a ticket on this. The more there are, the more likely Ford will actually fix it.

My UI is different, but I *think* I already did that. I will re-check to make sure. I just can't tell for sure because I'm on 4.1.3 and the interface and access to profiles has changed. But I did do the Active Profile thing. Went right back to Guest on a future start-up, and again locked there.
After recently updating to software version 4.1.3, I noticed this problem is getting more frequest. I have previously used two different work-arounds: the soft Sync reboot, and the one where you create a new profile then delete it. Other times I just didn't do anything and hoped it would work OK...
OK so I am confused. I have Ford PowerUp software 4.1.1 now, and AA 8.6.625054-release. It seems like that combo should allow me to get the split screen, but alas, the screen looks exactly the same.
Do I need to do something to enable it?
