If you have a Mach-E being delivered that shows as being in Kansas City at Richards-Gebaur, it might in one of these pictures.
I was flying over Friday, 9/30/22, and spotted the Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange colors and knew they had to be Mach-E's. Thought I'd grab a few pics and share them...
I believe there would be zero change in vehicle weight, or more scientifically vehicle mass. The electrons in the HVB will have just shifted from a charged to discharged state. You will then plug the car in and apply energy which will move the electrons back to a charged state.
So the car automatically shut offā¦forgot that was going to happen. I turned it on and the warning message was gone. What theā¦???
So I took it out for a 4-5 mile drive. No issues. A restart showed no issues.
When the warning was showing up I tried accelerating and did not notice a...
Looking for insight into possible problem that caused a 'Service Vehicle Soon' message to appear on my dash this evening.
I have pulled DTC codes with Car Scanner. I will post the whole list below.
There are two entries at the top for P061A which to me seems like the main issue.
I also have a...
Question related to a possible failure:
Can you DCFC without turning the car off? I have only fast charged twice in my 6ish weeks of ownership and didnāt try that.
Hereās where I am going. Letās say I take the car on a road trip in a couple weeks and get the dreaded error message, could I...
@breeves002 , Thanks for figuring this out and sharing.
Successful adding to my ER AWD Premium built in April 2022. Finally getting the same basic info that my 2013 Leaf had a dedicated meter for. Wish Ford would add a geek mode on the display with numerical values for this and other...
I know you all are joking, but my Mach E caused actual neck pain a few days ago. I had pulled a muscle in my neck and upper back area a few days before. Pulled onto a highway on ramp and accelerated hardā¦.OUCH. It pulled my head back enough to tweak that muscle again. Driving slower until...
OK...this is a good idea. But, a patent, really? It doesn't seem like exactly a new idea to have a jump start terminal on the exterior of a vehicle. Airplanes have had those since the 50's or 60's maybe even earlier.
I hadn't thought about people using a jump pack to steal stuff out of my...
I like your logic at first glance. And it is a novel way to think about the purchase. However, it's not quite the same math as an investment like bonds or real estate. You can't get your principal back out of this like other investments. I mean if your option was to take your money and...
True...obviously we don't anything about the changes yet and wasn't trying to give folks one more thing to worry about. I was just giving a potential example that would affect ALL of models not just GT versions.
Hey, @moparguy, not aiming this comment directly at you but at all the GT guys who seem to be complaining like a power reduction hurts them more.
Why do you all think that?
I mean I bought an ER AWD because I simply could not justify the added expense of the GT models. I already am probably...
You are probably right about time when you know what you are doing. But, it was three screws and my tools are right in the garage. Plus, I wanted to know first whether it was worth ordering the USB interface. If I didn't spot the module then no need to spend the money.
What you need is the hardware sensor module (and I think two sensors under the bumper cover but less clear about this). That module was in my car just not enabled.
I found the info here: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/diy-how-to-add-hands-free-liftgate-back-to-2022-mach-e.16407/
And...
It's really too bad the Mach E is missing a real time power usage meter on the dash.
My Leaf had two....basic bar graph by the speedometer and a more calibrated bar graph in a main display menu. You can instantly see the effects of going faster. Under 60 mph I was usually below a 20kw rate...
One more vote for getting one of the little lithium boost packs. Bought one a few years ago for my Leaf as I also didnāt want to try a jump from that little 12V battery. And I needed a solution in case we needed to get our ICE vehicle going one morning.
Hereās the thing with the boost...
Just got done hacking my new car, too. Feels just like peeling off the āwarranty void if openedā stickers.
$35 cable, free software, a little reading, and a few simple updates. And now, kick to open is working on my car, too.
Success.
Premium built 4/8/22 delivered 5/11.
Feels almost as good as ripping off those āwarranty void if openedā stickers while hacking away on a two week old car.
I used the $35 vLinker USB interface linked on the Forscan page.
Many thanks to the folks who figured this out and shared info...
Hey, OP, you might actually have the sensor hardware installed in your car. If so, it looks fairly easy to enable the feature yourself.
Check out this thread:

I peeked in the rear bumper with...
Sorry to hear you joined the club. But really worried about this group of techs. More than a week and they havenāt figured out a hundred bucks and a trip to Harbor Freight will get a set of wheel dollies. Other folks have stories of Ford engineers arriving by plane in a day or two...
