  1. Subscription Value - BlueCruise vs. Tesla FSD

I didn't do a write up about it, but there are a few around, including some installation videos on YouTube, showing installation on a Mach-E. Installation isn't too bad. The device, itself, is mounted on your windshield, just below the rearview mirror, and the Comma 4 is fairly unobtrusive...
  2. Subscription Value - BlueCruise vs. Tesla FSD

The option that I chose was hands-free on any road with no subscription fee, using a Comma 4 device in my 2023 Premium (~$1000 device, but no subscription fees). Unfortunately for you, starting with the 2025 model year, Ford encrypts the CAN bus, and you can't use a Comma device on your car...
  3. Cracked Top Window

As long as it's not leaking, or anything, I don't think there's a huge rush. Several people on these forums have gone many months before repair. (In at least one case, it took them that long to get the new glass in... So if you're going to get it done, it may take a while anyway...)
  4. Excessive drag when foot off pedal

I would also try toggling L mode on and off again with the button in the middle of the shifter dial, just to see if it has some stuck setting...
  5. Repeated “Pre-Collision Assist Not Available” warnings appearing randomly

There have been numerous threads about that particular alert popping up (https://www.macheforum.com/site/search/4795067/?q=Pre-Collision+Assist+Not+Available&c[title_only]), and there are a bunch of potential reasons, from sensors, cables, or modules needing replacement, to bad weather, blocked...
  6. Ferrari's "Luce" enters the EV World!!!

If it doesn't have CarPlay, or its range isn't exactly what it says on the IPC, then it's a non-starter for me! :-P
  7. IPC Power Meter (enabled with Forscan) No Longer Functioning

Thanks, gents. I had missed that... Time to pull out Forscan again to shut it off. And I'm glad I have the Comma displaying it for me now!
  8. IPC Power Meter (enabled with Forscan) No Longer Functioning

I just noticed on my drive home last night that the power meter bar, which I enabled using Forscan on my '23 Premium, is no longer functioning. It still appears on the IPC, and actually shows all of the jailbars at the moment, but doesn't graph usage or regen on the meter at all. I don't look...
  9. Warped rotors AGAIN!?!?!

Being a Select model, I believe it wouldn't have the power meter bar on the IPC, but that can be enabled if you have Forscan and an OBDII connector. That might give you a little bit more information, like is the regen actually working in 1PD, etc. At least for me, if I'm paying very close...
  10. What charge in Ontario

You should also look to see if your utility provider or state offer any incentives to install a Level 2 EVSE. Ford offers some incentives, too, I believe. For instance, my electricity provider is Xcel energy, and they offer some incentives...
  11. phone overheat

A lot of people have had trouble over the years with the Qi charger and phones overheating. If your phone has magsafe, some people have had luck putting a magsafe ring in the right place so that the phone stays properly centered on the charger. I am an iOS guy, and found that my phone...
  12. A visit to the Skunkworks (Ford's EVDC) -- behind the scenes tour

I thought that sounded kind of familiar. Farley's favorite car... Great writeups all around!
  13. TV series Chantal - Mach-E featured

The show is in Dutch, and it looks like the only place to get it in the US is through Amazon Prime Video with a "MHz Choice" add-on, and it's dubbed into English...
  14. Our dealer says EVs use brake pads more that ICE b/c weight. . . . also potential ripoff

Certainly seems like a ripoff to me. Not that it's MME specific, but my local Ford dealer is currently running a "Brake special", where they machine the rotors and replace the brake pads for $199.95 (normally $259.95), for Ford models only... I would get at least one more opinion, whether it...
  15. Those pesky acronyms!

  16. Should I Get the Tire Mobility Kit?

Not sure if you're getting rid of your '21, but maybe just keep the old one? If you're selling or trading it in, the tire kit wouldn't make any difference in what you get for it, I would think.
  17. Blue Cruise Subscription Older Mach E

Since your MME is pre-2025, another alternative is to lay down ~$1000 for Comma 4 hardware, and take an hour to install it. Then you have the basic equivalent of BC, but on all roads, not just the geofenced divided highways. And it runs open source software that gets worked on regularly. I...
  18. Ford Beta App

It's likely that they are distributing it to EAP members via one of the pre-release test apps for Android. I can't help out with specifics. iOS has an app for this called TestFlight. But there are multiple similar apps on Android, including: Google Play Console Firebase App Distribution...
  19. Replaced Windshield

Since you just had some work done, it might not be this, but people have long complained about some wind noise from the mirrors that can appear after owning the car for a while. Here's an old thread that might be worth looking through, because it might be unrelated to your recent work...
  20. Opinions on the MME rear spoiler

I have one of these on my MME. However, back when I bought it in '23, they were making them in all the Mach-E paint colors. But Ford has been changing up the paint colors in the model year refreshes, and I guess these guys got tired of trying to keep up... FWIW, the paint on mine perfectly...
