Ford Beta App

Does anyone in the EAP have any earthly idea how to download the Beta version of the Ford app (Android here,if it matters)....

I had signed up for the EAP and gotten a few emails to test out new features, but the emails say you need to download the beta version of the app to do so, with absoutely ZERO intsructions on how to do so....

I emailed the email address listed at the bottom of the emails for help, but so far it's been going on 9 days and since I emailed then, and nothing but from them to date...

It's likely that they are distributing it to EAP members via one of the pre-release test apps for Android. I can't help out with specifics. iOS has an app for this called TestFlight. But there are multiple similar apps on Android, including:

• Google Play Console
• Firebase App Distribution
• TestFairy
• Appcircle

I would think that one of their emails to you about it would have mentioned something like that. But, of course, the first rule of EAP is "don't talk about EAP"...

This is funny, I have had it a few years, I cant remember! I did check my Android app, it displays as Ford (Beta) and is currently 6.11.0 - it has a new feature that I am not excited about, and also seems like the last update turned off Plug and Charge and that explains why I was struggling last weekend at 2 EA stations and 1 Tesla.

The App appears to be like other Android Betas, in Playstore when I open it has the same Beta box as other apps "You're a Beta Tester" but if I recall Ford either emailed me asking for my VIN, or email, and they might have enabled the beta option on their end.

It hung on the step saying it was enrolling me, but after a few minutes I just closed the PlayStore, reopened it, and then that section said I was enrolled and I was able to update the app....

I doubt anyone from the EAP is in here, but if they are, please kindly read my email, lol...

I included the suggesiton that, if theyactually want people to engage and provide useful feedback, they really should include the basic instructions on how to download the app....

Ok now I remember, this is just the normal beta app, you give feedback through the play store. Before the redesigned Ford pass 6.0 they pushed us a beta that we could use, at first it was missing a lot, but at the bottom of the app it said Beta and you could leave to go back to the normal. That one I think they emailed us a direct link to download.

I read that bottom of Android app home screen says Give feedback...

Is the AI Chat button available on all versions or just the Beta? My Android phone app has an AI button up near the Notifications bell. I also have a blue font Give Feedback at the bottom.
