Preface: I'm really enjoying the car overall.
I was using adaptive cruise in some heavy traffic and noticed a loud click in the cabin whenever the regen brake kicked on. I've had the car for over a month and just now noticed. It only happens at lower speeds (or maybe only audible because...
Definitely. I'm going to check again tonight as I'm thinking this person hit me when they were leaving. They must be a resident to have had access, and this is the only place they can park for free around here.
100% agreed on the sentry mode.
I just sent in the footage request. The security team in charge of the cameras needed a case number first, which I emailed to them. Hopefully the cameras are actually working, because if they are, there's no way it wasn't recorded.
My brand new Mach-E was hit in a resident-only section of a parking garage sometime in the last 12 hours. Absolutely crushed when I saw it this morning. Deep scratches on the bumper and a broken backup sensor. The sensor is the thing that guarantees it was hit while it was parked in the garage...
I've found that turning on the car without holding down the brake pedal, waiting a few seconds, then turning the car all the way on works when you get the "no key" message on the first attempt.
I just ran into the issue again and the setting is definitely on. I kept my eye on the car as I walked far away and the mirrors never folded in, so it probably never locked. I used the app to lock it and they folded.
I'm using the phone as key, but until this is fixed I may need to start...
Does anybody's rear view camera delay setting actually work?
Update: After several attempts at getting the setting to stick, it's working. No idea what I did differently this last time.
I no longer trust that the car is locking as I walk away since I don't hear the honk. Has anybody else ran into this? I've been locking via the app again just to make sure.
Edit: It looks like the car is in fact not locking. Setting is on.
FWIW I got this same error the day I got the car. It went away after I turned it off/on again and hasn't come back since. Good to hear they couldn't find anything actually wrong with it.
